This luxury first floor apartment with its own private sea facing 90 sq.m. roof terrace and separate balcony off the lounge and bedroom is in a prime position on a tasteful new complex on the edge of the protected Costa Vicentina National Park. The village is still an active fishing village and you can enjoy the local produce and catches at one of the many traditional restaurants, walking distance from the apartment. The beach is a short walk down pretty cobbled streets. The location is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Algarve scenery or for walking, golfing, and surfing based holidiays. There many places of interest to visit outside Burgau. Historic Lagos, the breathtaking rural town of Monchique, the views from Cape St Vincent, and the many stunning beaches (over 33 with easy reach). For children there are safe beaches, local zoos and water theme parks. So this really is a place that appeals to everyone.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrivals and departures on Sundays will incur an additional £30 charge due to higher cleaning charges.
Keys available after 3.30pm. Departure time is 10.30am unless otherwise arranged.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The apartment is cleaned once a week. Bedlinen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. A travel cot and baby chair is available free of charge. |
Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning/heating in main rooms and underfloor heating in bathrooms. Electronic shutters to living room and bedrooms. Private underground car parking. This is a no smoking apartment except for on the terrace. No pets

1st floor apartment accessed via wide staircase (no lift).
Outside
There is a fantastic 90msq private roof terrace with lovely sea and countryside views where you can catch the sun or dine under the stars. In the complex there is bar and restaurant, pool, separate children’s pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam shower. The grounds of the complex are well landscaped.
Coast/Beach
There are at least 33 beaches within easy reach of the apartment, local beaches include Burgau, Martinhal, Ingrina and Boca do Rio. The main areas of Lagos, Alvor, Feragudo, Carvoeiro and Sagres contain many stunning beaches . Many beaches have beach front restaurants where you can enjoy the freshly caught fish and a glass of local wine and watch the world go by.
Golf
There are numerous excellent local courses within easy reach of the apartment –Boavista, Palmares, Penina, Parque De Floresta, Alamos, Alto Club, Morgado, Gramacho, Pinta, Salgados, and Silves.
Travel
The apartment is 1 hours drive from Faro airport and is an easy journey along the new N22 motorway. You can also take a taxi. There is are local taxi and buses to Luz, Lagos and beyond.
Distances
The apartment is a short walk (250m) from the beach. Logos (10 minutes), Luz (5 minutes), Salema (5 minutes), Monchique (30 mins). There are a number of excellent supermarkets in Luz and Lagos, and a couple of smaller ones in Burgau itself.
Further details
Food: There are 14 local restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. Many more in Lagos, Luz and Salema which are within easy reach.
Children: If you are going away with children there are some great water parks and zoos across the Algarve –these include 3 zoos Parque Zoologico in Lagos, Krazy World in Algoz, and Omega Parque Jardim Zoologico in Monchique. There are also 5 water theme parks –Zoomarine in Guia, Slide & Splash in Lagoa, Aqualand in Alcantarilha, Atlantic Park in Loule, & Aquashow in Quarteira
Places to visit: Try the following -Lagos (ancient port), Luz (with its sheltered bay), Salema, Sagres, Monchique (breathtaking rural town), Portimao, Silves (with its castle), Albufeira (with its nightlife and shopping), Cape St Vincent (most westerly point in Europe), Aljezur (beautiful long sandy beaches, washed by the huge waves coming in from the Atlantic Ocean).
Water Sports: The southern coastline is better suited to swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving & windsurfing because the waters are a bit calmer. For serious surfers, a visit to the Algarve’s west coast is a must! The Atlantic Ocean creates perfect rolling waves for surfing. Praia da Arrifana, Praia da Bordeira & Praia do Amado are particularly popular beaches & Praia do Amado has a surf school for tuition.
Walking: There some fantastic coastal walks which can be accessed from the complex, for more serious hikers, there are endless possibilities for walking in the two mountain ranges, the Serra de Monchique & Serra do Caldeirão, which boarder with Alentejo along the northern edge of the Algarve.

Riding and Tennis: There is local tennis club with pool and bar ½ a mile away, and a fantastic riding club less than two miles away.
Booking notes
25% deposit at time of booking, the balance paid to be paid 6 weeks before departure. £125 refundable deposit to cover loss of keys and significant breakages.
