Jardins do Golfe is located near the 5*Resort of Vale Do Lobo only 20 mins drive from Faro airport. Jardins Do Golfe is nestled beside the 2nd hole of the Royal Course a short distance from the Main Entrance of Vale do Lobo. The secure Jardins do Golfe complex is set in a hectare of beautiful, well tended gardens with two pools and sun terrace. It is only a short walk to the local supermarket, Medical Centre, Penguin Children’s Club, Vale do Lobo Beach, Royal and Ocean golf courses, Barringtons Health Club & Tennis Academy & the Praca which is the nightlife/beach front area of Vale do Lobo. There are numerous restaurants, bars, shops and clubs, beauty centre, health spa, hairdresser, newsagent, post office, Bank and cash point within the Vale do Lobo Resort. Only a short 5 minute drive away is the bustling town of Almancil which has every type of convenience that you will require on your holiday. The walk to the beach is via a private road and pathway trhough the resort.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. The 2 night (short stay) price is based on two person occupancy.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible, but, during the summer months (high season) it is more likely to be on a Saturday. It would be necessary to vacate the apartment by 10.30am on the day of departure in the high season.

Accessibility
This property is not suitable for wheelchair users, but, it would be suitable for people with impaired mobility as there are only a few stairs that are very even spaced and easy to negiotiate (my father is 76 and had no problems at all ... and he has 'plastic' knees!). If you are unsure as to the suitability of the apartment please do not hestitate to contact me and discuss your requirements.
Outside
Jardins Do Golfe is nestled beside the 2nd hole of the Royal Course a short distance from the Main Entrance of Vale do Lobo. The Jardin do Golfe complex is set in a hectare of beautiful, mature and well tended gardens. There is a very large pool with sun terrace & free sunloungers & an additional childrens pool with waterfall. There are also other areas in the gardens where sun loungers are scattered about. There is a poolside snack bar during summer. Also facilities of tennis and mini golf. From Jardins it is a easy, gentle walk to the beach along the golf course and through the Resort. It is a suitable walk for all age groups and takes about 15 minutes to ramble along the path to the beach.
Coast/Beach
The Vale do Lobo beach which is a very easy 15 minute stroll through the Resort - is a safe, clean, 'Blue flag' beach for families. In April 2006 the beach underwent a 2 million Euro upgrade which has widened and extended the beach reclaiming several million tonnes of sand now making it much larger than it has been in recent years. There are sunloungers are for hire.
Golf
Golfing weekends can be arranged. There is plenty of storage space for your golf clubs in the apartment - they don't need to share the sofa with you! Please contact the owner to check availability for the short stay/ weekend holiday dates you are interested in. Golf Guests can take advantage of the specially negoitated golf rates. The courses with discounted rates are: Vale do Lobo Royal, Vale do Lobo Ocean, Quinta da Lago Norte, Quinta do Lago Sul, Vila Sol, Vilamoura Old Course, Vilamoura Millennium, Vilamoura Pinhal, Vilamoura Laguna, Salgados, Benamor, Qinta Da Ria, Quinta de Cima. The rates are available please email the owner for details, costs and distance details.
Special interest holidays
There are plenty of opportunities to play tennis in Vale Do Lobo, there are 2 tennis courts in Jardins and a practice court. Alternatively, court times can be arranged in the Tennis Valley (14 flood lit courts) of VdL. There are professionals on hand to help you improve any aspect of your game (fee payable). There is good bird watching options in the Ria Formosa with covered areas for watchers (or are you twitchers?) This is about 10 minutes drive away. The inlets and lagoons of the Ria Formosa are well worth a day trip on a boat. The sand dunes from Vale do Lobo back towards Faro are fabulous for wildlife spotting. From Vale do Lobo you could (if you felt energetic) actually walk for over 20 miles of beach (I know this because my somewhat silly husband ran it until he ran out of puff) there are some fabulous cliff walks past Vilamoura.
Travel
It is not necessary to have a car in summer, I recommend hiring a car during winter to give you flexibility to explore the Algarve. I can arrange car hire with an all inclusive price for you at very competitive rates please email for the rate card alternatively I can arrange a personal meet and greet service from/to the airport in a private car with child car seats provided. It costs approx 25 euros from the airport to Jardins in a public taxi.
Distances
Faro town is a 15 minute drive there is a large shopping centre that offers good facilties. Most tours offer a pickup/dropoff bus service from VdL to the attractions. Options include horse riding, fishing, yachting/sailing, shark, dolphin watching, 4x4 safari tours & Cultural visits. There is also an Aqua Park and a Swim With Dolphin experience (30 mins drive). In the apartment is a well stocked folder with all the details of the attractions so you can read at leisure and book you choices.
Further details
It is a 2 min walk to the very well stocked local supermarket / off licence & cash point and Medical Centre, It is a 10 minute walk to Barringtons Health Club and Tennis Academy. The Praca which is the nightlife/beach front area of Vale do Lobo is a 12 min walk - the Penguin Childrens Club is here and Vale do Lobo Beach. At the Praca there are numerous restaurants, bars, cafe, newsagent, real estate agent and a night club. Free live entertainment nightly during summer. Parque Do Golfe which is the Reception for the Royal and Ocean golf courses is a 5 min stroll from the apartment there are also many shops including beauty centre, a most wonderful health spa (can vouch from experience), hairdresser, cash point, Hertz, post office & newsagent selling daily English newspapers and magazines also a cafe and a bar. The bus stop to over 25 destinations along the Algarve (and to and from the airport) also departs from outside the Medical Centre. About 3/4 mile down the main road into Vale Do Lobo are another good selection of restaurants including the Sao Gabriel - a Michelin star restaurant and the Thai Garden restaurant also highly recommended. The Quinta da Lago Shopping Centre is about 2 mile down the road, here there are many exclusive designers shops and some lovely restaurants/cafes. There is also a Italian restaurant that delivers pizza and pasta (and a bottle of wine) to the apartment....the menu is in the folder...for those nights that you just can't be bothered to cook. During your stay if you have any problems or require assistance I have a 'right hand man' who speaks perfect English, he can help you with anything you need - even changing a light bulb or medical assistance if required. This ensures everything about your holiday will go smoothly. Almancil has an excellent 'mega' supermarket called Appollonia which stocks everything you could possible want, it is a easy 5 minute drive from the apartment and has plenty of parking.
Booking notes
A securing deposit must be paid on time of booking this is 50% of the total booking cost. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £200 is payable before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded in full within 14 days after departure if the property has been left in an appropriate condition.
