Located in a quiet residential area with private secluded garden and BBQ area, providing a secure environment for children. Just 2 mins drive to a large sandy beach, with a selection of other lovely beaches close by. Also 10 mins from two high quality golf course and 15 mins to the famous medieval walled town of Obidos. The villa is well located for many other places of interest within an hour’s drive (Lisbon, Sintra, Nazare, Fatima, etc). The villa has an upper level with 5 double bedrooms (two with en-suite), a family bathroom, a large lounge/dinning room with traditional open fire, fully fitted kitchen and veranda. Downstairs is a separate spacious annexe with 2 double rooms, a big family bathroom, and an integrated lounge, dinner and kitchen area.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week in UK Pounds for 2008/2009. Basic cost is for upto 6 people with an extra charge per additional person. Costs include final cleaning , bed linen and towels. Maximum people per letting is 14. The deposit of £100 is returnable if no damages or brackages. Long winter lets are available at reduced rates.
Changeover day
Normally Saturday changeover with check in time from 4pm and check out time before 10am. However depending on requirements we can be flexible.

Outside
The villa is very spacious and enjoys an ideal location by the Obidos lagoon and very close to the beach. With sun and sea breeze through the day and at night a cooler rich pinewood air overlooked by a beautiful sky. The location is ideal for everyone and it has attractions all year around. You can just relax doing nothing or you can participate in many activities including: golf, fishing, swimming, beaches, stunning walks, excellent local cuisine, water sports, horse riding, historical villages, etc.
Must visit places: Obidos (medieval town) 15 min, Peniche - Baleal - Foz do Arelho 20 min, wine route (wine making and tasting), Reserva Das Berlengas (ferry at Peniche), Nazare 30 min, Porto 3 hours, Fatima, Sintra and Lisbon all within 1 hour drive.
Coast/Beach
Walk 4 minutes to the lagoon with it's gentle waters ideal for children, fishing, clam collecting and windsurfing. With a 15 minute stroll (2 min drive) you arrive at the beach with part lagoon and sea, all framed by fine clear sands forming dunes and cliffs. Restaurants and great open spaces which you can easily fill with hours of fun and delight.
Golf
The Praia Del Rey golf course (one of the highest rated in Europe) is a 10 minutes drive. The newly opened Bom Sucesso Golf Resort is less than 10 minutes drive. There are also other golf courses within the surrounding regions.

Travel
Lisbon airport is about 1 hour. Use of a car is essential. Supermarket and other facilities can be found at Obidos (15 minutes) or at Caldas da Rainha (20 minutes). There is a local small supermarket for small needs near the beach in the high season.
We have a fishman, baker and frozen food van calling on the street some days of the week.

Further details
Obidos and Caldas da Rainha have many banks, restaurants, bistros, shops, supermarkets, open markets for fruit/vegetables and antiques, theatre and cinema. Obidos loves using the town and it's walls as an open air theatre, it has become famous for it's productions and festivals through the whole year. We have lots of information about the area in the villa, but it is no harm to check on the Obidos Tourism office, they are very helpful and you can specify what you are looking for. The office is near the big car park. They have information about walks, leaflets about the festivals and all that is available in the area. You have a great variety of intrest such as birds, plants, geology, night walks, nature, pretty villages, buildings with architectural and historic note etc. The Portuguese are very proud about their history and religion. A visit to Nazare (you must try their barbecued sardines) and Fatima would give a good insight to their culture and history. Peniche is also another nice place to be visited. It has the old and the new town, an aquapark with slides and swimming pools, restaurants, clubs and the ferry visit to Berlengas islands which must be visited in spring (flowers season) and summer (water sports and cave tours) to have nothing missed out! Lisbon, Sintra, Mafra, Torres Vedras, Lourinha and other lovely places are all in good distance for a day tour. Cash point - available in most supermarkets and banks.
Booking notes
There is a 50% reservation deposit with the balance paid 6 weeks before arrival. Refundable deposit of £100 for breakage and damages. There are special deals for multiple bookings and long term rental. Please call owners for further assistance.
