The farm is set within the beautiful terrain of a port wine vineyard. 5 minutes drive to the lovely little village of Mesao Frio which has a variety of nice places to eat and shop, as well as banks, a post office and a market on Friday. There is also a river beach ideal for picnics plus indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Only 10 mins by car to the railway station Porto-Regua. Amarante 18-hole golf course is 24 km away and is equipped with a restaurant and bar.

Amarante 18 hole golf course is 23km away and is equipped with restaurant and bar. Golf buggies and clubs are available for hire and apart from a golf range there is also a shop. The course is reckoned to be the finest inland course in Portugal and benefits from consistent water supply ensuring it is always green and inviting.
Travel
The airport in Oporto is about 1 1/2 hours drive. The best is to hire directly a car at the airport: Porto. Taxi is not expensive in Portugal. Also you can come by train from Porto to Rede and take a taxi to Mesao Frio, only 3 km. Hire a car is recommended.
Distances
Mesao Frio has several restaurants serving the plate of the day, which includes coffee and wine for about 7 euros. Large supermarket in Regua 12km/15 mins drive. Internet cafe in Mesao Frio 1km/5 mins drive. Petrol station 1km/5 mins drive.
