Terracotta tiled terrace which is suitable for sunbathing and outdoor dining. Dining table, chairs and parasol provided. Outside water and lighting.

Coast/Beach
Many large, clean, golden sandy beaches within an easy drive. These include Foz de Arelho (8km), Praia De'l rey (10km), Sao Martinho Do Porto (15km) and Peniche (20km). Obidos lagoon provides opportunity for windsailing and rowing. Peniche is famous for surfing. Boat trips to Berlengas can be made from Peniche.

Golf
The nearest golf course is at Praia D'el Rey (rated one of the best in Europe) approx 10km away. Golden Eagle at Rio Maior is a 20 min drive. There are many other courses in the region.

Travel
Lisbon airport 1 hour (70km) by car/train/bus. Scheduled flight providers: BMIBaby, Monarch,Flythompson, TAP, BA and Easyjet. Porto airport 2.5 hours (150km) by car. Scheduled flight provider Ryanair.

Distances
Obidos town is 200m. Stunning views from the ramparts and wall of Obidos. Local supermarket and municipal swimming pool 1km. Caldas da Rhaina 5km with a choice of hypermarkets. Peniche 20km.

Further details
Bank/cashpoint facilities available within the town. Many bars and restaurants offering a wide selection of menus from cheaper traditional meals to more expensive al a carte. Obidos is an all year round holiday destination. Many festivals are held throughout the year including a medieval festival, drama productions and the international chocolate festival.

Booking notes
Booking by email. A deposit of £100 or 150 euros is required to secure the booking. Balance must be paid at least one month in advance of arrival or deposit will be lost and booking cancelled. In addition a refundable deposit against breakages is required of £100 or 150 Euros. It will be returned to you upon satisfactory inspection of house following your departure.

Guest comments
This was our first visit to the Silver Coast and we approached the holiday with an open mind. Having arrived at Obidos we were impressed with the modern property which had a very well equipped kitchen and bathroom and slept our party of six in comfort. The view of Obidos from the lounge window was stunning and we could not wait to get out and explore. Frankly if we had ventured no further we would have been very happy as Obidos proved to be a delightful walled town steeped in history with its own castle & narrow streets leading to quaint shops and numerous restaurants. However we love to explore whilst on holiday & during the course of the week visited excellent beaches at Sao Martinho and Peniche, historic churches & monuments at Tomar, Fatima, Alcobaca & Sintra and also the largest aquarium in Europe at Lisbon. Altogether a memorable holiday made all the more pleasant by the helpfulness & clear instructions provided by Mr & Mrs Williams. Highly recommended. Jean & Trevor Taylor
