This 100 year old luxury village house, is set on a hill above the main street of Foz do Arelho, very near to coffee houses, beach and bars. As this property is set above the village, there is very little noise. It has a large comfortable sitting room with French windows to the covered terrace with lagoon views. The spacious dining room has a large table and the modern, bright kitchen is neat and well equipped. First floor stairs are gated for children's safety. The sloping garden is laid to lawn with flowers, trees and ample space for children to play. There is also a swimming pool for the enjoyment of everybody. The fishing village of Foz do Arelho is a perfect summer resort with its wonderful lagoon, sandy beach and calm waters on one side, perfect for wind surfing, water skying and specially for children and on the other the Atlantic waves - excellent for surfing and body boarding.

Changeover day
The arrival day is on Saturdays, no possibility of a change.
The arrival time cannot be before 5 pm, and you must leave before 10 am.

Outside
All around the house there is a garden with plenty of space for the children to play. From the large veranda on the front there is a lovely view of the coutryside ending with a view of the lagoon, it is furnished with easy chairs and a large table for meals. The private swimming pool is 8 x 4m with a depth of 1.60m. It has plenty of outdoor furniture and a barbecue to cook meals "al fresco".
Coast/Beach
The beach of Foz do Arelho is 1 km from the house. There is the wonderful salt water lagoon with waters as calm as a lake, perfect for children, and on the other side the waves of the Atlantic, a paradise for surfers. Within a radius of 30 Kms you will find many fantastic beaches to explore.
Golf
At about 30kms there is the lovely Golf Course of Praia d'El Rey, built on the dunes by the Ocean, considered one of the best in Europe. There are several others nearby including the very exclusive Golden Eagle, near the town of Rio Maior.
Travel
The nearest airport is Lisbon, about 90 Kms away and a short drive of 1 hour by motorway. If you want to explore the region a car is essential but there are many buses to take you to the nearest town and even to Lisbon.
Distances
The nearest town is Caldas da Rainha where you will find very good commerce, a fruit and vegetable market, lots of supermarkets, Banks, hospital, etc.
The medieval walled town of Óbidos is only 20 minutes away and is one of the most visited places in Portugal, Nearby there is the 12th C. Mnastry of Alcobaça and the 14thC Monastry of Batalha which is quite near Fátima, the world wide well known pilgrimage centre, and many other places of historical and touristic interest.
