The villa is situated 3 minute walk from the centre of Azoia, which is a genuinely unspoilt farming village, overlooking the ocean. In an area where you can visit historical places, villages, and towns, rich in works of art, from which you can easily reach in a 15 minute drive either Sintra, with its historical monuments, Estoril, with its casino or Cascais, the well known fishing resort town, as well as several golf courses, all within 10km radius. Azoia Village is hanging on the wooded hill of the Serra de Sintra. Coast is 1.2km away and offers spectacular scenery with Cabo da Roca (most western point of Continental Europe on a 140 m high cliff) and big sandy beaches (the magnificent Praia da Adraga, Guincho with dunes, Praia Grande, Praia das Macas, etc.). In the villa a large kitchen (table for 8), a dining area with a large table for 10 to 12. Extra large living room with fireplace and a conservatory area with a stunning view down to the ocean.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Between October and March the minimum stay is 3 nights, the rest of the year the minimum stay is 1 week (7 nights). As free extras, we offer a daily maid service (exc. Sundays) as well as a basic groceries starter pack - so you do not need to rush to the supermarket as soon as you arrive. Electricity, gas and water are included in price. In the Winter months (between November and March), central heating is also included in the rental price.

Changeover day
We are flexible about the changeover day. Arrival time not before 4pm and departure time the latest at 10am.

Utility Room: Fully furnished (we offer a complimentary daily maid service in the afternoon, except Sundays).
Living Rooms: Very large living room with fireplace to sit around and dining area with table for 10. The kitchen has a round table for 8. Superb conservatory with view down to the ocean. TV and phone in every bedroom, CD player, DVD player.
Other: The villa is suitable for several couples. It allows complete privacy to the occupants of the 4 BR, which are all very spacious and all en-suite; no problems about 2 people getting an x-large BR and the rest of the party having to share small rooms.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are included, they will be changed at least once a week or when necessary (swimming towels not provided). A free daily maid service (exc. Sundays); pool- and garden maintenance are also included in the rental price.

 

Notes on accommodation
Suitable for elderly or infirm (the whole property on one floor), wheelchair accessible. Central heating for the cool winter months. The property caretaker who lives in the annexe (there is no interference to your privacy because the annexe has a separate entrance and is without view/access to the pool-and garden area of the house) is always available for solving problems or requests. Prices shown are for a maximum of 8 adults, 1 young child and 1 baby; according to agreement there is a possibility to have a free cot for an infant (baby), a baby's highchair, and in some exceptional cases a free extra little bed for a small child.

Accessibility
All rooms (incl.access to the pool) are wheelchair friendly, being on the ground level;only 1 BR has 3 little steps in it; Bedroom door´s width is 30" and Bathroom door´s width is 27.5". Speek also to us for organizing the wooden ramp for an easy access between the dining- and the living area (3 little steps).

6m x 10m pool entirely for your exclusive use. Barbecue and large table seating 8-10, next to pool. 6 sunchairs.1800m2 of garden. Internal patio to give light and freshness to the house in the hot summer days.

Coast/Beach
The coast is 1.2 km away and offers spectacular scenery with Cabo da Roca (most western point of Continental Europe on a 140 m high cliff) and big sandy beaches (magnificent Praia da Ursa (30 minutes walk) or Praia da Adraga (10 minutes drive), Guincho with dunes, Praia Grande, Praia das Macas, etc.) partly stretching out below cliffs (10-15 min drive). Owing to a Mediterranean type microclimate, our area has mild winters and an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot;ideal autumn too.

Golf
There are several golf courses within 10 km radius, 6 full length golf courses are within 20 mins drive. These include Penha Longa which is only 15 minutes away, the famous Estoril Golf Club, Quinta da Beloura near Sintra and Clube de Campo at Belas, north of the Royal Palace at Queluz. Next to Penha Longa are the practice facilities of the Academia International de Golf. In Cascais you have the Quinta da Marinha Golf Club and the Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Club (10-15 minutes drive). Visitors are welcome everywhere.

Travel
Distance from the international airport from Lisboa - 35km. There are good bus connections between Azóia and Cascais– or Sintra railways stations. However to make the most of what the area has to offer, you may want to hire or bring your own car.

Distances
Colares or Malveira da Serra for shopping, 4km. Lisbon itself is 40km away from Azóia. Cascais, Estoril or Sintra, 12km. Mafra is 20 km. Ericeira is 20km. Sesimbra is 65km. Obidos is 90km.

Further details
The village of Azóia offers 4 very good restaurants, an atmospheric bar in a converted windmill overlooking the ocean, 2 cafés and 1 convenience store all within few minutes walking distance from the villa.

Booking notes
A 30% non refundable deposit (credit/debit card in €) is required for confirmation. The balance has to be received (credit/debit card in €) 4 weeks before your arrival. A refundable damages/expenses deposit of €500 to be paid with balance and which will be refunded within 14 days after the end of the rental period. The price is for 1-9 people; acc.to agreement there is a possibility to have a complimentary cot for a baby, a baby´s high chair, and exceptionally 1 extra small bed for a child.

Guest comments
‘The villa is situated just a few mins walk from the village centre where we found four restaurants that were really good. We enjoyed the food very much and dinner for 7 people with 2 courses plus wine was usually around €150 which we felt was very reasonable. We do not like to be in places surrounded by other tourists and this small village was perfect. Within 10 mins drive there is a supermarket and the much larger tourist town of Cascais is half an hour away’

The villa is absolutely spectacular. The large rounded conservatory area overlooking the ocean is a wonderful room. Throughout the villa, portraits, pictures, and personal objet d’art adorn the place'
