Casa Isabella, Praia del Rey, is an elegantly furnished, luxury villa located within walking distance of Portugal's Silver Coast with its long unspoilt sandy beaches. In addition to excellent surfing opportunities, the close-by Lagoa de Obidos offers more tranquil waters for sailing and wind-surfing. Praia del Rey boasts one of the best championship golf courses in Europe which has also been voted the best in Portugal. The resort facilities include a superb Golf Club House with excellent bar and restaurant and the 5* Marriott Hotel which offers a range of restaurants and other amenities. Both are within walking distance of the villa - as is a well-equipped tennis academy. The villa offers spacious accommodation for up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms (each with its own bath/shower room) and has its own large heated swimming pool, BBQ and sheltered out-door eating area.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. 25% deposit required to secure booking with balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. £350 refundable damage deposit payable before arrival. Heating surcharge for central heating during winter months. Pool heating surcharge of £40 per week for between April and October if you require pool heating. No pool heating offered outside of these times.
Changeover day
Our standard changeover day is a Saturday and we ask you to leave the house in the morning so that maids can prepare for next guests. Outside of peak season we are able to be more flexible with arrival/departure days.

Outside
Large built-in BBQ, large covered terrace for eating out and a small terrace for each bedrooms. Large heated private swimming pool (if pool heating is required, a supplement will be charged) with outdoor shower, set in an established, pretty garden. Outdoor table seats 8, and in addition there are 4 sunlounger chairs.
Coast/Beach
About a 15 min walk from the house there are miles of unspoilt and very quiet sandy beaches - great for walking or even surfing. A 10 min drive in one direction takes you to the small town of Baleal with some great beach bars and small restaurants and a very safe beach with its own surf school. A 10 min drive in the other direction takes you to the Lagoa de Obidos with shallow tidal waters - great for anything from paddling to rock-pooling to wind surfing.
Golf
Casa Isabella is a 5 mins walk from the resort's 18 hole par 72 links style course - one of the most picturesque courses in Europe set in extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with spectacular views of the Atlantic and the Berlenga Islands. No fewer than 3 holes are bordering the Atlantic. The course was designed by the American architect Cabell B. Robinson and presents tremendous challenges for both the advanced golfer and high-handicapped player. It was described as 'one of Europe's top golf courses' by Golf World Magazine and the 'No 1 golf course in Portugal' by the Sunday Telegraph in January 2007. A further 18 hole course is almost complete and a 3rd course nearby is also underway.
Travel
Lisbon is the nearest airport and is about 50 mins drive from the villa on good, new roads - mainly motorway. Car hire is necessary.
Distances
With the wonderful city of Lisbon less than an hour's drive away, there are great opportunities to explore. Even closer are a wealth of historic towns, not least the famous Medieval walled town of Obidos (15 mins drive) - which now also has a fantastic supermarket and new leisure centre on the outskirts. The markets of Caldas de Reina are about 20 mins drive away, and there are many small, pretty villages in the area to explore.
Further details
A small shop / deli is approx 1 min walk from the villa and sells most of what you would need. Supermarkets and banks are anything from 10 mins drive away. Restaurants in neighbouring towns and villages will enable you to enjoy anything from amazing fish to pizza, to steak-on-a-stone and new, up-market restaurants are opening all the time - take a look at our book/guide in the house for tips on where to find some real gems.
Booking notes
25% of the full rental cost to secure booking with the balance paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. £350 deposit which is returned within 2 weeks of your departure less a reasonable charge for breakages / damage - checked by local agent. During the winter we take a small surcharge for gas heating - again refundable if fuel usage has not been excessive. From April 2007 we are able to offer heating for the pool at an additional charge of 80 euros per week should you require the pool heated.
