This 200 year old granite farmhouse is full of charm and set in its own grounds, offering superb views across the mountains to the beautiful valleys below. Until recently this property was a working farm that has since been tastefully renovated. The accommodation upstairs comprises of 2 double bedrooms and third bedroom room has bunk beds. The annexe is a large room with double bed and sofa bed and en suite shower room. Cot available at no extra charge. There is a large well equipped kitchen with a spacious dining area leading onto an outside balcony overlooking the vines and orange trees. For the more adventurous there is a wood burning hergom (stove) and the original bread oven. The bathroom comprises of a bath with shower, toilet, bidet and wash hand basin. Linen and towels are included, however pool towels are not included in the holiday. Downstairs is a lounge and separate dining room.

Notes on accommodation
The lounge has a log burner for the cooler winter days. Bedrooms have electric fans for the summer heat.
The swimming pool is on a higher terrace to the farmhouse and is gated and can be locked if nessacary.

Accessibility
There are many steps and is not suitable for people with mobilty problems.
Outside
Gated swimming pool 4m x 10m with sun bathing and eating area, supplied with sunloungers, table, chairs and umbrellas. Barbecue area on shaded private patio with table and chairs. Granite picnic table and chairs with valley views. Hammocks situated under the vines. Balcony with table and chairs with valley view.
Coast/Beach
River beaches close by. Approx 3 mins drive. With icecream parlour/cafe bar.
40 minutes drive to the Costa Verde coastline.
A 30/40 min drive to the beaches of Baiona and Vigo northern Spain.
Travel
90 minutes drive from Porto and Santiago de Compostela. Vigo airport 30 min drive new route from Gatwick available june 2008 with clickair.Car hire is essential. Santander 420 miles if travelling by ferry but it is a beautiful drive through Northern Spain.
Distances
Nearest village with pharmacy and post office is 3km. Nearest town with market is 8km. River Minho 4km which is the border to Spain. Peneda National Park 10km.
Further details
There are many local shops, bars and restauants in the local area. There is rafting down the river from Melgaço, horse riding near Valença and a new eco pisa joining Monção and Valença for walking and cycling on.

50% deposit required on booking and balance due 60 days before holiday. Payment can be made in Euros to Portugal or Sterling to UK.
