Casa Margarida is a large airy spacious villa with tiled floors throughout. There is a private swimming pool and to the side of the poolside patio there is a 10 feet high brick built-in barbecue with shaded dining area. 3 double bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a full family bathroom. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. Tranquillity, relaxation, unspoilt countryside, an enchanting fishing port, superb golf courses and sensational beaches are all to be found a short distance away.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday, but flexible outside of the July-September peak period.

| Kitchen: | The modern large kitchen has been recently refurbished and is equipped to the highest standard with an electric oven, extractor fan, 4-ring hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker and kettle. |
| Living Rooms: | Open plan lounge / dining room - double height vaulted ceilings. Comfortably furnished with 2 leather sofas, armchair, large dining table and 6 chairs, a woodburning fire, Satellite TV and DVD player. It also has access onto both front and rear patios. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are changed weekly, at which time the villa is professionally cleaned. We insist it is cleaned to 'Northern European standards'. |
Accessibility
There are no stairs in the villa and only one small step down to the main front door, once inside the entire villa is on one level, hence the villa is suitable for wheelchair users. Movement sensors are fitted outside of the villa which automatically turn on spotlights when you arrive.
Outside
2 roof terraces, both of which provide 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The extensive poolside patio is furnished with large pot plants and several sunloungers. The swimming pool measures 9m x 5m and benefits from large integral steps down into the pool, making it suitable for children.
Coast/Beach
The delightful island beach of Ilha de Tavira lies just a few hundred yards off the coast and is reached by a 5 minute ferry ride. The villa is just 7 minutes drive from the centre of Tavira.
Golf
Golf is exploding in the Eastern Algarve. Local courses include Benamor (10 mins), the sister courses of Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria (both 12 mins), Jack Nicklaus's new (but expensive) masterpiece Monte Rei (15 mins) and my personal favourite Castro Marim (25 mins). The numerous courses of the Western Algarve remain Europe's premier golfing holiday region and can be reached from 40 minutes.
Travel
Faro Airport is 25 minutes drive away. A hire car is recommended.
Distances
The sleepy little village of San Estevao, domintaed by its church is 2km.
The fishing port of Tavira is 7km away.
Santa Luzia with its fabulous seafood restaurants is 5km.
Faro Airport is a 25 minute drive.
The Spanish border is also 25 minutes away.
Further details
The villa is quiet & very private, however there are 2 bars within walking distance, one of which is a very popular place in a traditional Portuguese style & has just extended in dining area.
Booking notes
When you book more than 2 months in advance a deposit of £150 per week booked is required, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. If you book within 2 months, full payment is required at the time of booking.
