Golf
Golf at Praia del Rey 30 min drive and Rio Maior, Quinta do Brinçal. Many other courses around the Lisbon area approx 1 hour´s drive. Details supplied upon request.
Travel
Lisbon airport approx 1 hour. Car essential. Faro 3 approx 4 hours. Porto approx 3 hours.
Distances
Local shops at Foz do Arelho village which is a 5 min drive, including small supermarkets, bank (English speaking), post office, butchers etc. The larger Spa town of Caldas da Rainha is approx 10 mins with a full range of supermarkets, railway station, coach station, daily fresh fruit/veg and fish markets. This is a very old town with many interesting buildings and architecture to discover.
Further details
An interesting place to spend a holiday with many historic centres within a 40 min drive with unusual abbeys, monasteries, caves, old quintas for wine sampling, traditional fishing ports and a number of different types of beaches. Splash parks etc. come and see for yourself.
