Perfect for your quiet relaxing holiday this impressive and unusual rural house set in two and a half hectares of cork oak woodland, built in 2006 on the site of an existing ruin and incorporating some of the original stonework. The house is built in an L-shape, with guest accommodation comprising three bedrooms; two double and one twin each having own access. There is a lounge for the use of guests, and a patio with swimming pool and covered dining area offering stunning views over the surrounding countryside and the cork oak woodland of the grounds.

Coast/Beach
40 minutes drive to the popular Algarve coast and approximately 1 hour's drive to the more rugged and quiet beaches and fishing villages of the West coast.
Travel
Faro airport is a drive of approximately 70 minutes. Lisbon airport is a 2 hour drive away. Car hire is strongly recommended.
Distances
The nearest town, Ourique, is 18 kilometers (15mins) away. The World Heritage Site of Evora is a 90 minute drive and Lisbon 2 hours. Within an hour's drive are the historic towns of Mertola and Beja and the beautiful mountain town of Monchique with its nearby spa.
Further details
In the town of Ourique you will find all the usual amenities including banks, a post office, supermarket, chemist and restaurants. This area lends itself to a wide range of activities. It is renowned as an excellent region for bird watching. Walking, riding, fishing and painting are also popular. You may like to visit one of the region's vineyards to sample the local wines.
