The village is equidistant (17km) between the historic town of Lagos and the harbour town of Sagres the furthest point south-west of Europe. The village itself boasts 2 shops, 3 restaurants, 5 bars and several unspoilt beaches, (some only accessible by foot through fig and olive groves). The house has a delightful terrace overlooking the rooftops of Figueira and is directly opposite the atelier of the artist who restored it.
