The area retains the true character of Portugal, away from the busier tourist areas yet still only 15 mins. drive from Faro airport and 10 mins. drive from the sea.

Notes on accommodation
No Broadband access at the house, nearest is in Olhao where there are internet cafes and there is WI FI at Fonte Nova Restaurant in Pechao. Adjoining the property, with separate entrance, drive and terrace is a further opportunity for extra accomodation. Perfect for 2 families holidaying together. The house is separated by a high wall with access door, and has 2 bedrooms with air-con, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining area. Please see Ref. P6973 for further details.

Outside
The private pool has wooden decking and large sun baked terraces with sun loungers. The BBQ, with additional dining table, is situated under the olive trees. A tiled pergola (good for all weathers) is conveniently situated by the kitchen and has a large dining table with seating for up to 8 people. The extensive roof terrace has far reaching, uninterrupted sea views. The pool measures 4m in diameter and is 1.2m deep.

Coast/Beach
It is only 4km to the beautiful sandy beaches of the Algarve. A drive of 4km takes you to the sea front at Olhao, a working Portuguese fishing town with daily fish and fruit markets and more extensive market on Saturdays. From Olhao, water taxis or a small ferry, can transport you to the idyllic islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol, all of which have deserted beaches, quaint restaurants and bars.

Travel
The house is a 15 mins. drive from Faro airport. Car hire is essential as the property is situated in a rural area.

Distances
The house is 3km from the centre of Pechao and 3.5km from the centre of Olhao. It is approx. 7km to centre of Faro. Many championship golf courses are within 30 mins drive and special rates are available for occupants of the house. The City of Faro is only 15 mins drive with it's historical old centre and modern shopping mals. Estoi Palace and its Roman Ruins are approx 4.5km away.

Further details
The house is within walking distance of Quinta dos Poetas, a nearby hotel, with restaurant serving traditional Portuguese specialities and a 9 hole golf course. It is only 15 mins to 'Forum Algarve' a large shopping complex with cinemas, restaurants and boutiques. Approx 30 mins. drive to Water Parks and busy tourist resorts and attractions such as Zoo Marine.
