The villa 'Casa Rosa' is situated away from the crowded coast and the tourist developments and offers a different flavour of the genuine Portugal, amidst the scent of pine and eucalyptus trees. The property is set away from the road which ascends to Foia, the highest point in the Algarve, and is a 5 minute drive to Monchique, a bustling market town with a good range of shops which cater for all day to day needs. The views from the villa are spectacular over the rolling foothills of the Serra de Monchique to the coast from east of Albufeira to beyond Lagos. There are many good and inexpensive restaurants within a short distance of Casa Rosa, especially the renowned restaurant Rampa, well known for its excellent piri piri chicken.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Thursday. The villa is available from 1pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure to allow for cleaning etc. Check availability calendar before contacting owner.

| Kitchen: | Kitchen has granite work surfaces and equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, food processor and other electrical appliances. Small larder. |
| Utility Room: | Utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | Large living room with feature fireplace, marble floors and French doors to the outside terrace. Also, reading area with numerous books and paperbacks. Dining room, leads off the living room with marble floors and French doors to the outside terrace. |
| Other: | There is a servery to the adjoining kitchen. |

The maid works 2 days a week. Clean towels and linen are provided. We now provide pool/beach towels. |
Notes on accommodation
There is a gardener to look after the garden. A pool man is employed to look after the pool. There is no telephone available at the villa but there is a pay phone at The Rampa Restaurant. We also have satellite TV, CD, radio, cassette.
It is considered that the terraced gardens of the property and the minimum 1m depth of the pool make Casa Rosa unsuitable for very small children. But please feel free to discuss this with owner to clarify. There is a freezer box for picnics etc.

Outside
The large, private pool measures 10m x 5m (1m shallow end and 2m deep end) with views to the coast. The pool terrace has a variety of sunbeds etc. and there are outside tables and chairs provided.
Golf
Golf courses are about 35 - 40 minutes drive.
Travel
Faro airport is just over 1 hours drive. Car hire is essential.
Further details
Activities and leisure: There are several attractive walks through the cork oak, olive and eucalyptus plantations in the surrounding area to Casa Rosa. It is a birdwatchers paradise with nightingales, especially in the spring, hoopoe, eagles, buzzards to name but a few. The sky at night is wonderful for those of you interested in stargazing. Golf and tennis can be enjoyed on a visitor basis on the coast. Tennis courts are available at Penina, Alvor and Carvoeiro.
