The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, a 15 min walk into Lagos town. The rooms are spacious, are air conditioned/heated. Bedroom 1 and the lounge are light and airy and open onto your own large south facing private terrace with dining area to enjoy meals alfresco, and sun loungers for relaxing, with views of the lovely gardens and pool. The bathroom is attractively fully tiled and with full facilities. The kitchen is smart, modern and fully equipped. There is ample parking outside the apartment block in a quiet cul-de-sac. It is ideal for children as the gardens are enclosed with swimming pool and children's pool. Being ground floor, the apartment is ideal for families of all ages and with level wheelchair access.

There is air conditioning/heating in lounge and in both bedrooms. The gardens are huge for children to play in, are enclosed and in a quiet cul-de-sac. There is a children's pool also. Accessibility
Being ground floor, the apartment is ideal for wheelchair users, elderly or infirm, and the gardens are level. It can be accessed from both front or rear.
Outside
The gardens at Farol Apartments are large and private, the complex is hedged, with well tended lawns and swimming pool (plus childrens pool). It is shared with just 9 other apartments. The complex is in enclosed gardens and in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Coast/Beach
Praia Dona Ana, most photographed beach on the Algarve, 7 min walk/2 min drive. (cafe and restaurant). Praia Camilo, good fish restaurant, 5 min walk/2 min drive. Porto de Mos, 2 cafe/restaurants, 10 min walk/3 min drive, large white sandy beach, ideal for children. Meia Praia, enormous white sandy beach, several beach bars and restaurants, 25 min walk/10 min drive. The fishing villages of Burgau, 8km, Salema, 10km, or the sandy beach at Praia de Luz, bars and restaurants lining promenade, 5km.
Golf
The nearest course is Boavista-Par 71, in a beautiful location & the closest to Lagos, designed by Howard Swan, a 5 min drive, Parque de Floresta- Par 71, at 15 mins, the centre of a 5* spa resort, behind the village of Salema, Penina- Par 73, at 20 mins, venue for the Portuguese Open on numerous occasions, Palmeres- Par 71, a 10 min drive, a showpiece of Frank Pennink, the oldest course on the Algarve with great views across the bay to Lagos, & the Monchique mountains, Alto Golf- Par 72, near the picturesque village of Alvor, & the last course designed by Sir Henry Cotton. Morgado Golf- Par 73, the newest course in the Algarve, north of Portimao, a 980 hectare estate with undulating small valleys, clever & effective bunker positioning makes an unforgettable round, at 25mins. You are spoilt for choice! Golf packages & programs can be organised for you. There are also lawn bowls and tennis clubs nearby. 2007 prices still kept for 2009.
Travel
Faro airport is 80km, about 45 mins drive. Car hire is plentiful at the airport but is not necessary as there are inexpensive shuttle buses operating to Lagos. There are an abundance of taxis in Lagos town, inexpensive at approx 4 euros from town to Farol apartments. Buses also run from Lagos town to Praia Dona Ana, 7 minutes away, the bus also stops at the end of the road, and to Porto de Mos beach.
Distances
Apart from the coastal villages, there is Portimao, a town to the east a 20 min drive, going inland visit historic Silves, 30 min drive and Monchique, 40 min drive, visit Foia the highest point on the Algarve at 902mtrs. There are also National Parks to visit nearby. Praia da Luz is 5km, Sagres is 15km, Salema is 10km and the fishing village of Burgau is 8km.
Further details
There are local amenities nearby within a 5 mins walk, mini markets, bank and cash machine, bars and several restaurants including a chinese restaurant, pizzeria and take away. Tennis courts are close to the apartment, with lawn bowls, cycling, diving, deep sea fishing, golf, horseriding, squash, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, paragliding and microlight, water parks, a zoo and cinema are also nearby. A little further away is the huge Guia shopping centre, near Albufeira, a shoppers paradise! A huge market comes to Lagos on the first Saturday of the month - great for bargains and presents to take home.
