Superb position one minute's walk to the beach. Completely refurbished. Two bedrooms/two bathrooms are located on the ground floor which are accessable only from inside the house. The living area is via the outside staircase to front door. The roof terrace is though the patio door by the kitchen, via a staircase onto the roof.

Changeover day
We are fairly flexible about changeover days but do prefer weekends. Times are also flexible.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with twin beds. Large wardrobe space and dressing table. Patio door onto walled terrace. Bedroom 2 with double bed and a small dressing area with patio doors. En-suite. |
| Bathrooms: | Family bathroom which separates the bedrooms is a large walk in shower, w/c, bidet and handbasin. En-suite shower includes a w/c and handbasin. Large wardrobe space. |
| Kitchen: | Kitchen includes cooker, hob,fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. The fridge/freezer and washing machine are integrated. All equipment is electric. The dining area is located by the kitchen with seating for four. |
| Living Rooms: | Living area includes leather sofa and 2 chairs. TV and DVD coffee table and sideboard, which has various games and area information. Patio door to terrace which has table and chairs for four, a great place for breakfast in the sun. |
| Other: | A built in bbq on the roof terrace, which also has water and electricity. Table and chairs for four and two sun loungers. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Maid service twice weekly. Includes cleaning and a towel change. Linen is changed weekly (beach towels are not included). |
Notes on accommodation
This property is very good for families because the bedrooms, although on the ground floor, can only be accessed though the house. The ground floor has a high wall around it making it very safe for children if parents want to spend the evening on the roof terrace. We do have a Mothercare travel cot with some linen. The whole house was refurbished last year. All new furniture including brown leather suite.The kitchen is gold with black granite and integral appliances.

Accessibility
As the house includes three quite narrow staircases (two outside, one inside) it is not suitable for wheel chair users.
Outside
In our opinion (and why we bought the house) the roof terrace is superb with lovely views of the sea and surrounding hills. A great place to watch the sunset and hear the sea. We use the Ocean Club as managers and have use of four pools (one indoor heated). Two have child pools.
Coast/Beach
One minutes walk from lovely Luz beach. Here you can find sun loungers, sun shades and plenty of water sports. The beach is patrolled and has coast guards in attendance. As this is the Atlantic the waves are a bit rougher than the Med.
There are plenty of other beaches with a ten to fifteen minutes drive.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport which is a 50 minute drive. The motorway is the IP1. It is an easy journey even if you haven't driven in Europe yet. We can recommend a rental car company if required.
Distances
The nearest town is Lagos, 15 minutes by car. It has a beautiful marina. There are loads of restaurants and bars here. From very bustling inexpensive Portuguese to expensive International ones. The shopping here is good and the town itself is steeped in history so it is well worth a visit. If you are not hiring a car, the bus service from Luz is very good and the taxis are not expensive. There are many places of interest to visit in and around Luz.
Further details
Days out with the children in the summer months are expensive and get very busy. Zoomarine is worth a visit but book with one of the tour operators rather than drive yourselves. Aquasplash has also been recommended to us but we have not tried this yet. Horse riding/cycling/Dolphin watching and sea fishing are all available nearby. The main supermarket (Baptista) is five minutes walk away from the house but there is a smaller one nearer. The medical service (luz Doc) is a superb 24 hour service with international Doctors, all English speaking.
Booking notes
We require a 25% booking fee and the balance to be paid eight weeks before departure. We also ask for a returnable £100 breakages deposit.
