This luxury two bedroom ground floor apartment overlooks the 13th fairway of Alto Golf course. The large south facing terrace gives direct access to the landscaped gardens and the private, shared swimming pool. Guests have free use of the Alto Country Club facilities which include indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, gym, beauty salon, bars and restaurants. Special rates are available for guests at the Sir Henry Cotton designed 18 hole Alto Golf Course. The apartment is ideally situated to explore the beautiful beaches, coastline and countryside of the Western Algarve.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property (maximum occupancy 5 persons) per week in UK Pounds. Payment in euros can also be accepted. Stays of shorter than one week or across different periods are charged pro rata. (Minimum charge is 4 nights). Generous discounts may be available from time to time and for short notice reservations. Long lets are also available, please contact the owners for special prices.
Changeover day
Saturday is preferred but we will be flexible and try to meet your requirements.
| Bedrooms: | 2 fully carpeted double bedrooms both with twin beds. The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has access through sliding doors to the terrace and overlooks the golf course. The lounge is equipped with a sofabed. |
| Bathrooms: | The en suite bathroom of the master bedroom is reached via the dressing area and has a bath with shower over, WC and bidet. Bathroom 2 has a shower and WC. Both bathrooms have outside windows for natural light, extractor fans and wall heaters. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped and tiled with a serving hatch to dining area. It has electric hob, oven with grill, extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, dishwasher and washer/dryer. |
| Utility Room: | The two hall cupboards contain vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, clothes airer and the electric thermostatically controlled water heater. |
| Living Rooms: | Large lounge/diner containing table with 6 chairs, sideboard, three seater sofabed, 2 armchairs, coffee tables, satellite TV (main UK channels) with DVD/CD, fireplace with woodburning stove. Access through sliding glass door to terrace. |
| Other: | The large south facing covered terrace overlooks the fairway. Underground allocated parking space and storage cupboard ideal for golf clubs and beach equipment. BBQ and 2 golf trollies are available for guests' use. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen, towels for apartment, pool and beach are provided. Apartment is cleaned at start and end of stay, midweek bathroom towel change included. Further cleaning, linen and towel changes available at own cost. |
Notes on accommodation
Strictly non-smoking. Full air temperature cooling and heating by separate remote control units in both bedrooms and the lounge/diner. A self draining dehumidifier adds to the year round comfort. Mosquito screens are incorporated into all windows throughout the apartment. Safe situated in master bedroom dressing area.
Outside
The covered south facing terrace with its own gate has access to the gardens and pool shared by the four apartment blocks. It is equipped with dining table and umbrella, four chairs and two sunloungers. Beach mats and umbrella are also provided for guests' use.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is situated within walking distance and a short drive of many of the Western Algarve's most beautiful beaches. From the nearest, Vau, you can walk to Praia da Rocha and Alvor beaches where there are many beach bars and restaurants. The village of Alvor with its' narrow streets and fishing harbour is only a 10 minute drive away.
Golf
Alto Golf Course was the last course designed by Sir Henry Cotton and presents an interesting challenge. Guests are offered preferential rates. The driving range and golf school are situated near to the clubhouse. Other international and Championship courses nearby include Penina, Palmares, Boavista, Margado & Alamos and Vale da Pinta among others.
Travel
Faro Airport is a 45 minute drive away and a hire car is recommended for exploring inland and coastal Algarve. We can provide more detailed information on car hire and other transport within the area.
Distances
The village of Alvor with its' narrow streets and fishing harbour is only a 10 minute drive away. Portimao town centre is a 15 minute drive. The extensive beach of Praia da Rocha is a 20 minute walk away or five minutes by car. Within a 30 minute drive you can visit the ancient walled town of Lagos with its' lively harbour and marina, the mountains of Monchique and the old town of Silves. The Natural Park of the western Atlantic coast is less than an hour away by car.
Further details
There is a small supermarket within walking distance. Alisuper in Alvor is open every day and there are other major supermarkets in Portimao. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes in the area. Alvor itself has a bowls club and even boasts a skydiving centre at the small aerodrome. Also worth considering is the boat trip from Portimao riverside upriver to the ancient town of Silves. Recently introduced is a half hourly bus service from close to the apartment to Alvor village via Alto Country Club reception, in one direction and to the centre of Portimao in the other. A regular bus service runs from Vau Beach to Portimao via Praya da Rocha and the marina at Portimao.

Booking notes
Stays of shorter than one week or across different periods are charged pro rata. (Minimum charge is four nights). Water and electricity costs are included as are arrival and departure cleaning, linen and towels (see above) and a welcome pack. Further maid service can be arranged as an optional extra. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation of the booking with the remainder due 8 weeks before departure.
