Changeover day
Saturday to Saturday stay required during July/August. Other dates may be flexible, depending on availability. On arrival day entry to the apartment is permitted after 4pm. Please vacate the apartment by 10am at the latest on your departure day.

Kitchen: Open plan, well equipped kitchen with plenty of cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils. Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric oven, 4-ring gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer.
Utility Room: Ironing board, steam iron (located in master bedroom wardrobe) and air dryer (located on back terrace storage area) provided should you wish to launder your clothes.
Living Rooms: Red fabric suites, one of which is a comfortable sofabed, 37" LCD 1080P TV, Sky Freeview Satellite, DVD player with choice of family movies, CD player with MP3 USB hub, books and games. Spacious terrace with stunning sea views.
Other: Open plan dining area with large table and 6 chairs. The sunny rear terrace is accessed from both bedrooms.

This is a first floor apartment with 20 steps up to the entrance.

Outside
There are no restrictions on parking outside the apartment, which is always freely available. Entry to the apartment is via video entry system and secure gate. The large front terrace has seating for 6 and is perfect for alfresco dining. There are also 2 sun loungers stored at the apartment for topping up your tan. Another terrace at the rear is perfect for afternoon sun. Dining furniture for 4 is provided here. Shared pool is available to the residents only and is a minutes walk away. The pool has beautiful views over the beach and sea. There are toilets and a shower as well as a children's pool. 4 reclining sun loungers are stored here for guest use.

Coast/Beach
The beaches around Lagos are amongst the most beautiful in the Algarve. Meia Praia is the nearest beach to the apartment and can be reached on foot in about 10 mins. This beautiful beach forms part of one of the largest bays in Europe and its seemingly endless white sands stretch out for 5km. There is a windsurf centre on the beach and at the Marina visitors can book many other activities, including diving, water skiing, big game fishing and boat trips around the spectacular coastline.

Golf
5 mins from Lagos Marina lies the scenic and serene Palmares course, an 18 hole par 72 that perfectly combines beach and mountain scenery. This is reflected in the course, with its links outward nine and hillier back 9 and arguably the most striking first hole in the Algarve, with its high tee position pointing straight out to sea. 5 mins drive in the opposite direction brings you to Boavista, designed by Howard Swan, it is an 18 hole par 71 Championship course situated overlooking the Atlantic and Lagos town. Boavista is a welcome addition to Algarve golf and the discerning visitor, as its combination of design, location and the sheer variety of holes make playing Boavista a wonderful experience for all. Boavista also has the benefit of a driving range and excellent teaching academy. A mere 10 minutes from the Marina is the Penina course. This Championship course, 5 times host to the Portuguese open is an 18 hole par 73 requiring length and accuracy to score.

Travel
The nearest airport is Faro and the apartment is 60 mins drive away. Guests may also choose to travel by train, taxi or bus. The train station at Lagos is just a short 2 minute taxi ride away from the apartment.

Distances
The marina, with its bars and restaurants, is leisurely 5-10 minute walk away and the main town of Lagos is a further 10-15 minutes walk to the centre. Lagos has numerous bars, restaurants and shops to suit all tastes. Cape St Vincent, the westernmost point of Europe, is about 30km, Sagres and its historic fort a little closer. The spectacular west coast beaches are also around 30km, or more depending on choice. For a mountain excursion, Monchique lies about 40km north.

Further details
A shop selling essential items is available near the entrance to Albavillas, around 2 minutes walk away. The nearest supermarket is around 10-15 minutes walk or a 2 minute drive, where you will find everything required for your self catering holiday.

A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking and then full payment must be received at least 6 weeks prior to departure.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love Lagos because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches and the marina boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport less than an hours drive away.

The property is just 15 minutes walk from the fabulous Meia Praia beach, at 6km long you won't have any trouble finding a spot to sun bathe! We can provide beach towels and equipment (games, umbrellas) so you can travel light and make the most of the great coastline. For those who enjoy a more active holiday, you can take advantage of discounted rates at the nearby Palmares and Boavista golf courses - we will give you details on how to get the discounts. If you are looking for great food we can also recommend some great local restaurants at reasonable prices. Just ask for information when booking.
