The luxury apartment is built to a very high specification in a central block with well stocked and tended gardens to the front and the rear. The spacious kitchen is fully fitted with Bosch equipment. A flat screen television is provided in the lounge with many Sky channels. Air conditioning and heating units are mounted in all rooms providing cool air in the summer and excellent level of background heat in the winter months. Electric shutters are fitted throughout. The bedrooms are both fitted with twin beds and both have wall mounted flat screen TVs with the bathrooms fitted to a high specification. The apartment is well suited as a base for golfers or for those wishing to enjoy the traditional delights of the Algarve. 2 balconies, one which overlooks the golf course, has the sun until mid afternoon. After that the second balcony ‘takes over’ until the sun sets over the pool terrace. Both balconies are furnished with loungers and dining tables and chairs.

Outside
Large outdoor pool which is heated from April until the end of October. Balcony overlooking golf course with dining table, 4 chairs, 2 loungers and BBQ. Balcony overlooking pool with table and 2 chairs and 2 loungers.
Coast/Beach
5 mins away is the beach holiday resort of Luz, providing family water sport activities and delightful seafront cafes and shops. Further to the west are the unspoilt fishing villages of Burgau and Saleema. Only 25km away the coastline has a massive transformation as you come upon the vast cliffs and wide beaches of the west coast. One of our favourite places is Praia de Castalejo, reached through the small town of Vila do Bispo.
Golf
Situated on Boavista Golf course which is rapidly establishing itself as one of the best courses in the region. There are several other fine courses within a short drive. New for 2008 is a state of the art Leisure facility, including, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, fully equiped gymnasium and health and beaty spa.
Travel
Just an hour's drive from Faro airport along the A22 motorway. Car hire recommended to enable full exploration of the area.
Distances
The nearest town is Lagos, 2 miles away. It is a historic walled town and has a maze of cobbled streets with lovely shops, restaurants and bars for the holidaymaker to explore. A new marina has been developed within the harbour and this contains an assortment of craft ranging from the simple to the down right luxurious. At the harbourside there are shops and cafes to enjoy. By the port side in the town, trips can be arranged to take in the grottoes, sandstone cliffs and beautiful beaches.

"My husband, son and I recently enjoyed a fabulous week at " bythegreen " on Boavista golf resort. The apartment was exceptionally well appointed and furnished so that we had five star hotel luxury but with apartment facilities. From the rear balcony we could enjoy the sun until late afternoon and watch the golfers coming down the beautiful 16th tee and, if we wanted to continue sunbathing, we could then enjoy the sun on the front terrace until late evening. The pool was fantastic: heated and over 25metres in length. The staff at the resort were all extremely helpful and friendly."

I live in England with my husband and we both work, but spend most of our holidays in Portugal, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.
We play golf at home and in Portugal but not as well as we would like to !

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We fell in love with this area of Portugal some 20 years ago because of its natural beauty and wonderful coastline.
Lagos is a truly picturesque Portuguese town offering something for everyone. We love to amble along the cobbled streets, taking the odd rest in a cafe or restaurant to refuel. Its great.
The apartment is just under an hour from Faro airport along the A22, its easy to find and the area is extremely relaxing.
The food in Portugal is fantastic and the people extremely friendly and welcoming.
Unique benefits of the property
Staying at the apartment affords you the luxury of some superb faciclites, a great golf course, indoor spa, and heated outdoor 25m pool with large sun terrace.
Within easy reach are some of the Algarves most stunning beaches and secluded coves and a short drive away is the dramatic west coast with magnificent surfing.
On arriving we relax immediatley.
