Coast/Beach
Meia Praia beach 10 mins walk via footpath. Meia Praia is one of the largest sandy beaches in the Algarve you will find sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. Praia Donaana is the most popular beach near to Lagos town centre from the apartment is about 10 mins drive, it involves steep steps and is flanked north and south by cliffs and is sheltered from the wind. Praia Da Batata is the closest beach to the centre of Lagos town, by the entrance to the harbour.

Golf
Palmares golf course is 18 holes par 71, 5961m is about 5 mins drive it is famous for its Almond Blossom Tournament. For discounted rates enquire at the apartment reception.
Boavista golf course is 18 holes par 71, 6053m and is about 10 mins drive from the apartment. The course affords golfers spectacular views over the Lagos coastline.

Travel
The nearest airport is Faro about a 50 mins drive, car hire is desirable if you wish to explore the surrounding area. There is a train station in Lagos town with connections to Lisbon.

Distances
The nearest town is Lagos which is 2km away which is the most historically interesting coastal town in the Algarve. Praia Da Luz is about another 10 mins along the coast and means the 'The Beach of Light'. Heading west you have the fishing villages of Burgau and Salema still further are Sagres and St Vincent. Inland there are the old towns of Monchique and Silves. Cities to visit are Portamao and Faro.

All your shopping requirements are available in Lagos town whether it is the supermarket or shopping for gifts, should you require a bank there are plenty to choose from.
There is Destinos restaurant at the location which serves food all day, Lagos Town has resturants to suit all tastes.
There is a gym at Jardim Das Dunas which also has a heated indoor pool.
Outdoor activites include various types of water sports, dolphin spotting and boat trips to various bays and caves along the coastline.

Once you have confirmed the dates you require we will send full terms and conditions and request a 25% deposit. 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday full payment will be required, if a booking is made later than 6 weeks to your arrival date full payment will be required immediately.

Guest comments
A pleasant spacious apartment that easily slept 6, on a lovely well maintained complex. Very nice restaurant and helpful staff. The children had a lovely time -would recommend.

Excellent apartment in a beautiful compound.

The accommodation was of a very high standard and was complete with everything needed to enjoy a care free and comfortable stay, it was very clean and well maintained. There were stacks of clean towels and bedlinen and the washing machine and dishwasher were an added bonus. The apartments are easily accessible but at all times felt very safe especially for us as we had children who were able to play and enjoy the facilities without worry. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who has a family and is looking to enjoy an easy going luxurious holiday.

About the owner
We are a family of 3 with a son of school age. We live in Bromley, Kent England. Both my Husband and I run our own businesses so holidays are very important to us. We have travelled to both Northern and Southern Portugal and love the country.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We first visited the Algarve 7 years ago and took a day trip to Lagos. We instantly fell in love with the town and all it has to offer. So many great restaurants, excellent water sports, superb shops to find the perfect present to take home. The following year we came out and bought this great apartment, ideal for our son as there is a play area and tennis courts both of which he enjoys plus the fabulous pool that he spends most of the day in. We can enjoy the superb gardens relax in the sun and early evening have a cocktail at Destino's restaurant. We chose this apartment as it is close to the centre of Lagos however far enough away to have a really relaxing holiday.

Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is fully air conditioned together with underfloor heating. We have a full broadband service within the apartment so should you want to keep up to date with email or your children download games etc. the facilities are available. In the peak months there is a superb restaurant on site providing excellent food and drinks all day and evening. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool however, if you prefer the beach this is only 5 mins away and is one of the longest sandy beaches in Portugal. If you enjoy golf we are only 5 mins drive from Palmares golf course which has its own driving range. Lagos town is 5 mins by car where there are many restaurants, bars, shops and a large marina which offers plenty of water sports and boating activities.
