Choice of Two (Ground Floor 2 Bed & Penthouse 3 Bed), well located and nearly new apartments, air-conditioned and heated, well furnished, non-smoking apartments in a safe and secure gated community. The apartments are on a purpose built holiday complex, with adult and children’s swimming pools and picnic/barbecue areas. Good quality furnishings have been used to ensure that you have a very comfortable stay. Large 32" LCD TV, Free Sky channels, DVD & Sony PS2 Playstation. The location is very peaceful, as the complex is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac adjacent to open countryside, which ensures that there is no traffic noise. For those new to booking independently, we would be pleased to advise as to how to obtain the best prices for flights and car hire. Prices shown are weekly for up to 5 persons (max 4 adults) in 2 bedroom and 6 persons in 3 bedroom, all in UK pounds. prices include full cleaning/laundry change on entry/exit. Euros accepted at the current exchange rate. Payment can also be made by credit card via Pay Pal. All prices are fully inclusive of air conditioning/electricity/gas. A meet and greet service at the apartment and welcome pack of groceries are also available at extra cost
Changeover day
There is no set changeover day, which allows you to search for the best flight deals. The apartments are available from 3 pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on day of departure. These times are flexible, if bookings are not back to back.
Notes on accommodation
The apartments are totally non-smoking and therefore not really suitable for smokers. There are combined air-conditioning/heating units installed for your comfort all year round. We do not allow children under the age of 5, as the pool area and a fish pond are not separately fenced off and there are also some delicate glass furnishings. The free channels of SKY TV are available as are a DVD player and SONY Playstation 2 games console. A selection of DVDs, quizzes and PS2 games are provided or you can bring your own. A second 15" TV and DVD player is provided in the twin bedroom of the ground floor apartment. A second TV (22" LCD) is provided in the master bedroom of the penthouse apartment. This second TV also has its own Sky box and Sony PS2.
Accessibility
Both apartments are suitable for those with limited mobility. There are ramps leading up to the entrance from outside and a lift from the basement car park. Apart from a very small step up in to the apartment, both apartments can be accessed without climbing any stairs at all. There is a lightweight transit/attendant type folding wheelchair available upon request, at no extra charge. This is ideal to take out and about if you are travelling with someone who is less mobile.
Outside
The apartments are set in very large and beautifully tended established gardens. There are reserved sun loungers for the pool area and a table and chairs on the private terrace of the ground floor terrace. The penthouse has a very large private roof terrace that has a large outside dining table, 4 sunloungers, outdoor seating unit, bamboo bar with 4 stools, plus sea and countryside views. There is also a purpose built outdoor barbecue cooking facility within the upper wooded area of the complex. This new building houses brick ovens, sink units, a toilet and outdoor dining tables under its canopy. Alongside this there are picnic tables in the shade. It is possible to go for a stroll or jog around the complex with its level pathways and rest benches. At the end of the complex in a private non overlooked position, is the swimming pool area. The pool is quite large and there is also a smaller shallow childrens pool as well.
Coast/Beach
Olhos de Agua beach is a 10 mins walk and Maria Luisa beach a 15 mins walk. A short car journey away is the very large magnificent and remote Falesia beach. Another personal favourite is the very beautiful Gale beach which is about 15 to 20 mins drive and well worth a visit. All beaches are golden sand, with no shingle.
Golf
The apartment is ideally located midway between Albufeira and Vilamoura. This means that golfers only have a short journey to the finest courses on the Algarve and can sample the bars, restaurants and nightlife of Albufeira in the evening. As most golfers will know there is a vast selection of courses in easy reach but nearly all will require you to produce a handicap certificate. The two nearest courses are Balaia at a 15 min walk or Pine Cliffs a 25 min walk. Both can be reached within 10 minutes by car.
Travel
Nearest airport is Faro which is about a 25 to 30 minutes drive. Car hire, as always is a bonus, but not essential, due to the excellent location and good transport links in the area. There is a bus stop and taxi rank within a 2 mins walk from the complex. A taxi can be taken from the airport, however it is preferable & cheaper to book a private transfer (details available upon request). A Taxi from the apartment to the main strip is around 5 to 6 Euros and around 6 to 7 euros to the old town.
Distances
The nearest towns are Albufeira and Vilamoura. Albufeira has a vast amount of things to to see and do and is regarded as the main resort on the Algarve. For nightlife it has two distinct areas, The Strip (brash and a bit like Blackpool) and the Old Town (more sophisticated and a bit like Bournemouth). This allows for all tastes to be catered for. Vilamoura is a much more upmarket resort with its large marina and quality restaurants.
Further details
There is an ATM machine in the large supermarket with instore bakery only 2 mins walk from the complex. Adjacent to this is a new shopping precinct, with a fresh produce market building selling fish, meat and fruit/veg. The other shops on your doorstep are a newspaper/gift shop selling English newspapers, gelateria/snack bar, drinks bar, pay by weight restaurant/pizza takeaway, bank, speciality supermarket selling all English brand foods and an excursion booking agent, who can arrange trips and pickups for you. In the village there are also several more banks, a post office, and an internet cafe. About a 15 minute drive away is 'Algarve Shopping' which is a huge leisure and shopping complex with 10 screen cinema, 10 pin bowling alley, food court and lots of shops. Here you can find all the worldwide fast food chains as well as many local restaurants.

It was well equipped with quality furnishings (especially the comfortable beds) and loads of room for our party of 5. We liked being in a quiet residential area but only a short stroll to the beaches, restaurants and bars. Having a big supermarket at the bottom of the road was also a bonus. We would definately rent the apartment again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.
