Coast/Beach
Obidos is situated about 8km from the Silver Coast beaches. The nearest is at Foz do Arehlo (8km) both surfing and safe bathing De'l Rey beach is 10km away and Peniche is famous for it's surfing beaches and is a 20km drive on the motorway. Obidos lagoon provides opportunities for windsurfing, windsailing and rowing. A wide varity of beautiful beaches can be accessed along the coast.
Golf
Obidos has its own golf course-Quinta do Bom Successo. The next nearest golf course is at Praia D'el Rey Golf Resort approximately 10 km. from Obidos. Other courses can be found at Peniche (20 km.) and Rio Maior and Torres Vedras both a 30 km drive.
Travel
Lisbon International airport is a one hour drive away along the A8 motorway. Obidos can be reached from the airport using regular local buses but use of a car does make it easier to explore the local beaches and places of interest.

Obidos town 200 metres. Local supermarket 500m Caldas da Rhaina 5km. Choice of supermarkets and shops. Peniche 20km. Historical towns - Tomar 100km: Lisbon 70km: Coimbra 80km.
Further details
The property is ideal for exploring the Silver Coast region of Portugal. Obidos has a variety of places of interest within the walls and an ample choice of restaurants. There are several music and cultural Festivals that take place in the town. The local library has a good selection of English books and free internet access.
Booking notes
Call to book the property. A non-refundable deposit of £100 will secure the booking. The balance will need to be paid one month prior to departure. A refundable security deposit against breakages or damage of £100 will be paid on receipt of the key which can be obtained from a neighbour.
