Coast/Beach
Beach around 10 mins walk. Superb beach onto the Atlantic with Obidos Lagoon providing a safe environment for kids. 10+ beach restaurants/bars.
Golf
Praia Del Rey golf and country club around 20 mins drive.
Travel
Lisbon <1 hour.
Porto 3 hours.
Distances
Foz Do Arelho a short walk. Caldas De Rainha (the local town) around 15 minutes drive for supermarkets, shops, cinemas etc.
Further details
This is not a place to rent for wild night-life / discos etc. It is a quiet town, suitable for families and for those looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful area of Portugal. We bought it to visit regularly all-year round for its beautiful beaches and local culture, and also access to some outstanding towns e.g. Obidos, Alcobaca, Bathala.
