Just 30 minutes drive from Faro airport finds you amongst the Moorish buildings of Tavira Gardens. Set in immaculate lush grounds. Our luxurious 4 bedroom air-conditioned villa is located in the quaint pretty town of Tavira. Facilities include a tennis court/ basket ball, 2 pools, gym, bar/restaurant and play area with swings and slides. Our comfortable villa is great for familes and includes a modern fitted kitchen, with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, hob/oven etc..The lounge/dining room has satellite TV, DVDs play station 2 and games. The lounge opens unto the back garden patio with tables, chairs, sun loungers and stone bar-be-cue shaded with palm and lemon trees. The first floor has three double bedrooms one en-suite all with patio doors, balcony and garden views, the 4th floor double bedroom is located on the ground floor. The use of gas, water, electric and air-conditioning are included in the rental price unless otherwise indicated in the property facility description. We accept payment in sterling or Euros through bank transfer. Please note any transfer will be charged.
Changeover day
Arrival and departure dates are fully flexible. Normally, access is from 2.00pm and departure is usually about 11.00 am. Should you arrive early you can lounge by the pool side cafe with a cool drink. You will be welcomed by our representative.

Notes on accommodation
You will arrive at your air-condtioned villa to find it carefully prepared and in immaculate condition. Palm villa stands in the beautiful lush Tavira gardens, one of the more established luxurious residential complex overlooking the old town of Tavira. The location is close to beaches, golf and the Ria Formosa wild life reserve. The unique complex was designed and built in Moorish style. The well kept grounds boast a gymnasium with jacuzzi, 2 swimming pools, tennis court, restaurant/bar. Every detail to decor and furnshings, from the lamps and pictures etc makes this a perfect place to relax completely. Wi-Fi availale...Tavira gardens is ideal for families, its safe, quiet and clean. Palm Villa is a only a few steps to the pool and Portuguese restaurant/bar. The Algarve has the warmest and sunniest winter climate in western Europe, it is the ideal destination for a winter break and the summer months are long, hot, lazy with guaranteed sunshine.
Accessibility
Palm villa has 2 floors, the ground floor has a second lounge furnished with a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people that can double as a 4th bedroom. There is also ground floor cloakroom toilet and sink for those who are unable to use the stairs.
Outside
The villa has its own front and rear private garden. The patio is surrounded with palm trees and lemon tree, built in stone barbecue, a large garden table with parasol, chairs, and sun loungers. Tavira gardens boast 2 large swimming pools, and a children's pool, gymnasium, tennis court, sand pit with swings/slide. The restaurant serves fresh Portuguese and English food, bar snacks, hot and cold drinks and are open daily (please check times). Free Wi- Fi Internet access is available at Tavira gardens
Coast/Beach
Relax on one of many clean and uncrowded blue flag white sandy beaches stretching along this part of the coast (warmest sea in Portugal!). Many other fabulous beaches are within easy reach. The Spanish border is approx 30 km to the East, making a day trip to Seville and other parts to Spain very easy. Tavira has a grand shopping complex with cinemas, restaurants boutiques, no need to drive to Faro, all your shopping needs will be in Tavira town centre.
Golf
Palm Villa is ideally located for golfers. The Algarve is well known for having the best golfing climate and famous for some of the best golf courses in Europe. Many of the 18 hole courses are within 10 to 15 minutes drive from the villa and most of them welcomes non-members. The nearest golf course is Benamor golf, ranked in the top 10 best golf courses in Europe and is approximately 5 minutes drive from the Palm Villa. Other reputable golf courses close by are Quinta de Cima (voted the best course in 2004), Quinta de Ria and Castro Marim and with the Spanish border only 20 mins drive you also have the choice of the Spanish golf courses. A new golf course Monte Rei golf and country club reported to be one of Europe's largest, and most exclusive cosmopolitan golf complex, set in acres of beautiful countryside between Tavira and Vila Real De Santo Antonio, and is only 20 minutes drive from the Villa.
Special interest holidays
Boat trips can be organised for bird watching in the Ria Formosa nature reserve, fishing, horse riding, exploring the coast, Tavira Island, the River Gilão through Tavira town and the Ria Formosa. Cycling, you can hire cycles form Tavira centre and explore the region by train or car. The local and national buses will take you to other parts of Portugal.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro which is only 30 mins drive from the villa. If you like shopping then the Algarve forum is 30 minutes to Faro, or Tavira grand mall where you will find everything from cinemas to designer shops and a great selection of restaurants/cafes in both. A car is not essential if you just want to relax and stay in the Tavira region, but if you would like to explore the Algarve then it will be easier and cheaper to hire a car, we can supply you with competitive car rental firms
Distances
Tavira, located East of Faro, is one of the most charming, friendly, photogenic, safe, captivating and unspoilt towns on the Algarvian coast, also known as the 'Jewel of the Algarve'. Boasting white washed houses, palm tree lined riverside restaurants and cafes. The old quaint historic town, small cobbled streets, Roman bridges and variety of beautiful churches. The Spanish border is 30 minutes drive, Seville and Lisbon is just 2 hours drive.
Further details
Explore the fishing village Santa Luza and Fuesta. Sample seafood regional dishes, freshly caught tuna, grilled fresh sardines, piri piri chicken and other delights, including all sorts of clams, prawns and lobster, and delicious fresh fish. The Algarve's healthy climate, pure air and mostly pollution-free environment are nicely complemented by wholesome, locally-caught and home-grown food. Have lunch in Spain, only 30 mins to the border. Visit magical Seville, Ayamonte, Huelva or Lisbon in a day. Tavira is definitely worth a visit. Booking notes
Long term letting from November to March - minimum long term letting is 4 weeks at a 10% discount. (Please contact the owner for more details). Booking: 25% non-refundable deposit is required when booking, balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, together with £200 fully refundable deposit. This deposit is refundable within 21 days after your stay less the cost of any damage or excessive cleaning.

What a wonderful holiday! made all the more enjoyable by the quality of the accommodation. Not only was the villa in first class condition it was spacious and was located right next to the pool, restaurant, bar and all the Tavira garden amenities. Only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Tavira itself, the villa was so comfortable it made lounging around the home base as relaxing as by the pool or beach. An exceptional holiday base.
