Altura is brimming with Portuguese atmosphere, the people are friendly and prices are extremely reasonable. Altura has retained its typical charm without capitalising on the heavy tourist approach.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. A 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure and at this time a £150 returnable damage deposit is payable and will be refunded within 1 week providing no damage has occurred. Please note prices may vary depending on bank holidays etc. Discounts may apply for late bookings and long term rentals. Prices are based on 8 people sharing.

All bed linen and towels for use in the villa are provided. Linen is changed weekly, towels twice weekly. Cleaning services are provided each week. |

Outside
The patio leads onto the private swimming pool, 8m x 4m, with sun loungers, table and chairs with a large parasol and BBQ.
Coast/Beach
The villa is 1km (10/15 minute walk) to a beautiful, white, sandy beach which goes on for miles and is deemed to be one of the safest in Portugal.
Golf
For golf enthusiasts there are 4 fine golf courses within 5km. The villa is also only a 10 minute drive from the new exclusive Monte Rei Golf Club featuring 2 unique 18 Hole Championship Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses set in over 1,000 acres of glorious countryside.
Travel
Faro Airport is 48km, approximately 40 minute drive. Car hire is recommended if you want to explore the area, i.e. drive to other towns/villages etc. but if you just want a relaxing holiday without worrying about driving then Altura is the place for you as everthing is within walking distance.
Distances
The historical town of Tavira is 15km away (15 minute drive), Monte Gordo, a large resort, is only a couple of kms down the road. Also on your doorstep is the Castle and fantastic Salt Marsh Natural Reserve of Castro Marim which is on the border with Spain. Just 5km from Altura is the town of Villa Real de Santo Antonio with its big square and lovely harbour where you can take a boat up the river for a wonderful day out or the ferry over to enjoy the beaches of Spain.
Further details
There is a large EcoMarket 5 mins walk from the villa and a couple of smaller supermarkets and bank/bank machines in the main street, all within walking distance as the main street is only a couple of minutes walk away.

A deposit of 20% is payable immediately upon booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before your holiday.
