The split level, spacious accommodation, which sleeps 7, has marble flooring throughout the main area and air-conditioning in the main lounge and dining area. The west-facing private balcony overlooks the communal pool and landscaped garden and offers unobstructed, panoramic views over the valley, marina and coastline. The apartment is located within a small complex and is a short walk from the old town centre and popular beaches. The apartment has a private main entrance and residents parking. Public transport is excellent, on the doorstep, and hiring a vehicle is not essential. A taxi trip from the airport will take 30 - 40 minutes and can be arranged in advance for you. Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Long term rentals are available over the winter period at a standard rate of £600 per month, and is based on a single couple occupancy. Maid service is additional and will be a minimum of once weekly. Electricity costs are additional. 25% reduction for October
Changeover day
There is no specific changeover day. We will endeavour to accommodate your booking arrangements to suit your flights and our existing bookings. Normal check out time is by 10.00am to 12.00 noon, subject to time of next arrivals, and is negotiable.

Notes on accommodation
Wood-burning stove installed in fireplace in lounge. Air conditioning / heating provided in main living area and free standing fans and heaters in all bedrooms. Iron and ironing board provided. Cot and highchair will be provided if required. No pets. The apartment is accessed via a flight of steps, which may be difficult for those with limited mobility, however the apartment itself is disabled-friendly and 1 bedroom is on the same level as the kitchen, bathroom, living room and balcony.

Accessibility
The lounge, kitchen, bathroom and twin bedroom are on the same level, and the two remaining bedrooms are only 2 steps down from the main area.
Outside
There is a shared pool and a landscaped garden. Small children should be supervised on the balcony and around the pool.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is a 15 minute walk from Albufeira old town beach. This popular long, sandy beach is surrounded by cafes, shops, restaurants and tourist facilities. The smaller 'Gale' and 'Sao Raphael' beaches are a 10-minute drive, but many more beaches are dotted along the coastline in both directions.
Golf
The Algarve is famous for its championship golf courses, which are within easy access from Albufeira. Salgados - Par 72. Quinta do Lago - Par 72. Vale do Lobo Royal - Par 72. The Old Course - Par 73. Laguna - Par 72. Penina - Par 73. Palmeres - Par 72. Vila Sol - Par 72.
Special interest holidays
There are water parks close to Albufeira, which are great fun for the family. They include some hair-raising rides and giant water chutes, and also areas to play, eat, relax, picnic etc. River trips are also available, along with a number of other attractions, details of which are in the apartment.
Travel
Location: 35 mins by road from Faro airport. Car Hire: Can be hired in advance for collection at the airport. Car hire also available locally on a daily hire basis. Taxi: A taxi can collect you from and return you to the airport. Bus service: A new bus service (on the doorstep) operates every 30 mins into the town. A new central bus terminal operates from the town to other destinations, including Lisbon. Trains also operate within the Algarve and details are available in the apartment.
Distances
Albufeira is ideally situated in the Central Algarve area and all major attractions and sites of historical interest are easily accessible. e.g. Silves (historic town with castle) - 30 mins, Portimao - 30 mins, Vilamoura - 20 mins, Lagos - 45 mins, Loule - 30 mins.
Further details
A welcome pack can be arranged on request, however a small supermarket is within a 2-minute walk and provides all essential goods. The nearest restaurants are just few minutes walk away and very popular. They serve a range of local seafood and meat dishes at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere. There are also 2 small supermarkets, newsagent, hairdresser and cafes/bars on the doorstep. Drinks are very reasonably priced There are many restaurants within the old town to suit all tastes. In addition the local supermarkets are excellent with a wide choice of food if you prefer to cook at the apartment.
Booking notes
The minimum booking period is normally 7 days, but it is negotiable. A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required for advance bookings, and the balance paid not less than 8 weeks prior to the booking date. For bookings made less than 8 weeks in advance of the booking date full payment will be required. A £200 deposit will be required to allow for breakages or damage to property, which will be refunded in full if no damage has occurred.
