Our delightful 3 bedroom villa is located in a private peaceful and exclusive condominium, consisting of an imaginative meld of cluster villas and apartments, constructed in elegant and romantic Moorish style. The idyllic gardens have a tropical theme and are immaculately maintained. The villa is light and spacious with the living and sleeping accommodation arranged on separate levels, all of which is furnished and equipped to a high standard reflecting its use as our holiday home too. You may care to relax on one of the two spacious terraces whilst enjoying a view of the pretty Vale do Milho golf course, or take a swim in the secluded communal pool. All this and yet our villa is situated only a few minutes drive from the old fishing village of Carvoeiro with its beach, plentiful shops, varied restaurants and lively nightlife. It is a mere 15 minute drive to the golf courses of Gramacho and Pinta and the picturesque cove and beach at Centiannes is but a 10 minute walk away.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week, for the accommodation, a maximum occupancy of 6 people and are inclusive of utilities, bed linen, towels (not for beach or pool use) and maid service. For a long stay please do contact us to discuss this, as our tariffs can be tailored to suit your requirements, dependent upon how long you wish to stay and whether or not utilities are to be included in the rental price.

Changeover day
Our preferred change over day in peak season is Thursday but at other times of year we try to be flexible depending upon other reservations. Check in and out times are 2 pm and 10 am respectively although, again, we try to be flexible where possible.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom with king size bed, large built-in wardrobes, bedside cabinets, and dressing table and en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds and is similarly furnished, as is bedroom 3 which has a full size double bed.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom with bidet, bath/shower over, wash basin, WC. Main bathroom similarly equipped to en-suite.
Cloakroom on ground floor with full size shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
All with over door heaters.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with cooker and hob, combination microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, variety of cookware and small appliances - including a juicer and coffee maker.
Living Rooms: The spacious, light and elegant living area has two sofas, a dining table seating 6, occasional tables, satellite TV, DVD player, hi-fi (all piped to the other rooms, including WC with on/off switch!), log burning stove and air-conditioning / heating.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bed and bathroom linen and tea towels are included. There is maid service a minimum of once per week, or, for an extra charge more often upon request. Beach towels not supplied.

 

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning is included at no extra charge. There is a telephone which receives incoming calls and from which guests are welcome to make local calls. High chair and cot available on request at a small additional charge.

Outside
Our villa has a spacious upper terrace, off the lounge and dining room, with table and chairs to comfortably seat 6. There are 4 sun loungers with cushions and an occasional table. The terrace is equipped with electric awnings to provide welcome shade during Portugal's hot, sun-filled days whilst at night there is generous lighting by which to enjoy the balmy evenings. There is also a lower terrace and small garden area equipped with table, chairs, parasol and BBQ, from where it is a short stroll to the tropical setting of the communal pool.

Coast/Beach
The Algarve boasts a wealth of beautiful beaches, the nearest being at Centianes, approx 10 mins walk away. A short car trip will take you to the beaches at Carvoeiro (from here boat trips can be taken to local beaches or to view the spectacular rock formations at nearby Algar Seco and otherwise inaccessible coves and beaches passing caves and blow holes on the way), Albandeira, Marinha and Benagil. The beaches of Albufeira and Praia Grande at Feragudo offer water sports facilities.

Golf
The Algarve is, of course, renowned for golf and hence can boast some of the best courses available. The closest is Vale de Milho which is a surprisingly challenging nine hole course ideal for short iron practice and for combining a little golf with a family holiday or non-playing partner! Pinta and Gramacho at the Pestana complex are approximately fifteen minutes drive away. Whilst guests are entitled to discounted green fees at each of these three courses, there are many other courses to choose from that can be reached by car in under an hour.

Travel
Our villa is just a 45 min drive from Faro Airport. To make the most of your stay in the Algarve we would recommend that you hire a car about which we are happy to provide information. If you prefer not to drive from the airport yourself, then the Vale de Milho golf course operates an airport transfer service and then you can arrange your car hire locally if you prefer. For those evenings out, a taxi between nearby Carvoeiro and our villa costs about 5 euros each way.

Distances
For more ambitious excursions, Cape St Vincent and the fort at Sagres is the most westerly land fall of continental Europe and can be reached by car in approx 1½ hour via the recently extended trunk road passing through countryside of the Western Algarve not previously seen by tourists. The rugged western coast is popular with surfers and, even in mid summer, is relatively uncrowded. The Guadiana River forms the Eastern border with Spain which can also be reached easily court

Further details
Along the N125 towards Porches, known for its potteries and ceramics studios, there is an equestrian centre for those interested in horse riding. There are several water theme parks including Zoomarine where it is possible to swim with Dolphins. The peace and tranquility of the Monchique Mountains, forests of pine trees and cork oaks, is only a short drive via the pretty mountain village of Caldas de Monchique, source of the local bottled water. The ancient Moorish walled town of Silves with its fort, archaeological museum and Saturday morning market makes an interesting inland excursion. Silves is also home to the atmospheric sea-food restaurant Marisqueira Rui which enjoys a reputation, with tourists and local people alike, as being one of the Algarve’s best!

Booking notes
To make a reservation please refer to the availability section of this site and e-mail or telephone us with your requirements when we will send you a booking form. A deposit of £150 per week booked together with a completed booking form is required to confirm a reservation. The remaining balance is payable eight weeks prior to departure or with the initial reservation if within that period.
