200 metres from the beach (5 minutes walking). The beach is perfect for families with kids as the waves are very small and the sand is very fine.

Restaurants and minimarket are available as well as ATM machines. In addition to the sandy beaches, Troia is also a unique habitat for different species of wildlife. Dolphins, otters, storks and herons can all be viewed by boat, jeep or by foot. Troia is the ideal destination for a break, far from everyday life, but close to nature.

Another Guest: My husband and I and our six children loved staying in Troia during the month of June 2007. The beautiful beaches were uncluttered and uncrowded, as was the entire community. We felt as though we had our own personal paradise. Unlike in the Algarve where foreign tourists abound, the few people we met in Troia were actually Portuguese. We enjoyed the pool, the tennis courts, and listening to the gentle pounding of the ocean. We walked for hours on the beach and played games in the sand. The condo had a big lawn for the children to play on, the cafe had my daily dose of pastries, and there was ice cream available for the children. We went to Setubal several times by boat to attend church and go shopping. The condo was comfortable and well equipped. It was the perfect place to get away from it all. Rachel Ann Nunes.

About the owner
I live in the USA with my son and a 7 year old cat that I adopted 3 years ago. I work for an international organization in Washington DC and I love traveling. I always spend part of my vacation in Troia Portugal with my son and large family. The house is big enough for everyone (4 bedrooms) and I love it. My house is very close to the sea and I love the Troia Golf course. Some of the wholes are along the sea and the view is stunning.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
I have chosen Troia because it has a much more relax atmosphere than 'the Algarve' and yet if I want more excitement I can go to Lisbon which is an hour away. Troia is also a great place for families, the beach is very calm and safe and it really feels very relaxed when you have kids.
Unique benefits of the property
The beach is 5 minutes away from the property and the golf course is less than 2 kms away. The resort is gated and very safe. It is also very close to Lisbon. On the other side of the Troia peninsula there is a major city if I want a break from the beach and go for some entertainment and shopping.
