Notes on accommodation
Electric log fire in lounge and panel electric wall heaters in all rooms for cooler winter months. Lovely safe garden at front and rear of property away from roads.
Outside
Lovely landscaped gardens surround the property. Sunny south facing balcony with table and chairs and sun loungers and brollies, with sea view.
Coast/Beach
The local beach of Centianes is a 10 minute walk. Carvalho beach 15 minutes walk or 5 min. by car. There are numerous beautiful sandy beaches easily reached by car. Lovely cliff top walks from the resort.
Golf
The nearest golf course is Vale do Milho (9 hole par 3) 10 minutes walk. Within a 15 minute drive is the Gramacho and Vale de Pinta 18 hole courses.
Travel
45 min. from Faro Airport. Car hire is not essential as there are mini super markets and several bars/restaurants on site and nearby. Rocha Brava provides a free minibus service into Carvoeiro. A hired car allows easy access to a variety of beautiful beaches and places of interest.
Distances
Carvoeiro is a 20 minute walk or 5 mins by car. The town of Lagoa is 10 mins by car, the historic town of Silves is 15 mins., the beautiful mountain town of Monchique is 30 mins and the old town and new marina of Lagos is 30 mins.
Further details
Carvoeiro has an excellent choice of shops, banks, post office, bars and restaurants. Bike hire also available. A fully equipped Intermarche supermarket is 5 mins by car. The Algarve Shopping complex at Guia provides a wide range of shops. Zoo Marine and Slide & Splash are within easy reach by car or coach from Rocha Brava reception.
