Altura is situated in the Eastern Algarve, 15 mins from the most charming town Tavira and 10 mins from the Spanish border. It is only 40 mins drive from Faro airport and 1,5h drive from Sevilla (Spain). The villa is completely private, surrounded with a hedge and an entrance gate. It is a quiet urbanization, 1 km away from the shops and just 2 kms from the beach.

Changeover day
Changeover day normally Saturday during August, but could be more flexible at other times of the year. Arrival and departure times entrance of the villa as of 4pm. Departure before 11am.

Notes on accommodation
A baby cot can be added in the bedroom on request. Also a baby chair adaptable to the dining table is available.
Pets not allowed. Air conditioning in living/dining room, fans in the bedrooms. Extra for the winter is a heating system in the largest bathroom.
Outside
The swimming pool of 6,5x3,5m is next to the covered terrace, so parents can easily watch their children. The swimming pool is completely private. There is an outside shower. There is also a roof terrace for real sun-lovers.
The property is closed with an hedge around and an entrance gate.
Coast/Beach
The long sandy beach is only at 2 kms. The beach is very long, so you can always find a quiet place to sit (if you don't like the crowd) and you can have a wonderful long beach-walk!
Golf
Golf players have a large choice of golf courses : Benamor Golf and Castro Marim Golf Club, both quite new - are at 10’ drive. A wonderful double Golf Course (2 x 18 holes) - Quinta da Ria - is only at 5’ and opened summer 2002.
The Golf courses near Vilamoura can be reached by the motorway in about 45 minutes.

Travel
The airport is 40 min. away, and the driving to the villa is very easy. We provide a directions for you.

Further details
The local daily market is at 1km and a big supermarket (Ecomarché) is only at 1,5km. In the main street of Altura you have a large choice of bars, restaurants, shops, a bank and even a brand new church.
At 15’ drive from Altura is situated the beautiful town Tavira, described by many as the most charming place of the Algarve. You can easily enjoy a full day walking around and relax on one of the 'praças' or next to the river on the terraces of the restored 'praça velha'. You can also go to '4-aguas' (four waters) and take the boat to the island 'Ilha de Tavira' where you will find a never ending beach and good accommodation (bars, restaurants, camping, red cross,...).
Cabanas (de Tavira) – at 10' – is a very sympathetic fishing village where you have to take a small boat to cross the lagune and get to the beach.
And if you want to visit Seville in Spain.... don't hesitate : it is a wonderful city and only at 1,5hr drive.

Cancellation refunds:
up to 8 weeks - no cancellation charge.
4-8 weeks - 50% of rate is refunded.
2-4 weeks - 25% of rate is refunded.
Less than 2 weeks - no refund.
Eventual transfer charges are to be paid by the client.
Security deposit of 300 euros - or equivalent in UK Pounds to be paid upon arrival.
