Benagil is located on the coast with truly amazing panoramic ocean views. The villa is a stone’s throw away from 2 golden sandy beaches. Amazing cliff top walks. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy Vale de Milho a 9 hole, par 3, golf course which is only five minutes away. Quinta do Gramacho golf course and Vale da Pinta, where you will find the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, are within a 10 minute drive of the property. For the fun loving families both the Slide & Splash and Aqualand water parks are also within a ten minute drive. In addition, the village of Benagil has four restaurants which serve locally caught fish and seafood, all within walking distance of the villa. The town of Carvoeiro is a 5 minute drive away with an abundance of restaurants, gift shops and bars to suit all tastes.Very quiet location.

Notes on accommodation
The Terracos de Benagil development has a residents' swimming pool with showers and a sun terrace directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are two fantastic sandy beaches, Praia de Carvalho and Praia de Benagil only a 2 minute walk away. The property has a spacious roof terrace with relaxing recliner chairs, where you can enjoy watching the fishermen going out to sea and the wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The villa has a barbecue and patio terrace. The garden is lawned and completely enclosed with electronic entry gates making it extremely safe for young children to play. No pets allowed.
Benagil is a very quiet,non-commercial village reflecting traditional Portuguese
fishing and boat-building values.
Explore the caves beneath the cliffs by boat.Enjoy our 4 local seafood restaurants.
Many more famous restaurants nearby in Carvoeiro and Seismarias.
A trip to the famous Praia da Rocha beaches in Portimao is very worthwhile as is the new shopping mall in Portimao.

Coast/Beach
2 minutes walk to two fantastic beaches Praia de Carvalho and Praia de Benagil. Within 5 minutes by car is Praia de Marina - the most stunning beach area on the Algarve. Beautiful cliff top walks through a conservation area to Carvalho beach and on to the Lighthouse at Rocha Brava. Local shop supplying English and European newspapers and groceries at Rocha Brava.
Golf
A short drive away is the picturesque, bustling village of Carvoeiro with its beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, tourist office, health clinic and car rental offices. Golfers are spoilt for choice: 26 golf courses are designed across the Algarve. We can arrange discounted green fees at any course including near by Gramachio, Pinta and Silves.
Travel
Faro Airport is a 40ing minute drive down the A22 motorway. You exit at Junction 6 (Lagoa) when driving from Faro Airport to Benagil.
Distances
You are a 2 minute walk to 2 lovely beaches and a 5 minute car drive to the pictuesque village of Carvoeiro and Lagoa.
The local supermarket Intermarche is only a 5 minute drive from Benagil towards Lagoa. Modelo, another superb supermarket for all your grocery and food supplies, is located on the edge of Lagoa just off the main highway to the A22 motorway.

Recently, a cliff walk has been established by the local council across "The 7 cliffs" of which Benagil is the centre. This is clearly signposted for walkers to enjoy the rugged coastline safely by foot, and has points of interest with information posted along the route. To the west of Carvoeiro is the old unspoilt fishing village of Ferragudo. Lagoa, the nearest town, offers local shops, fruit and fish market, and restaurants. Inland from Lagoa you will find the picture postcard village of Porches.
Life in Porches revolves around the local pottery industry where crafts have been revived, preserving ancient Iberian and Moorish patterns. Another place that is a must to be visited is the inland historic and interesting town of Silves with the remains of its castle a reminder of Portugal’s historical past.
Portimao, a major town on the Algarve has its bustling streets, modern boutiques, markets, waterside restaurants and stunning wide beaches less than 20 minutes’ away by car. Remember… the majestic coastal cliffs and beach at Praia de Marinha is only 5 minutes’ drive away and probably one of the Algarve’s most famous coastal views.
Fishing, golf, horse-riding, tennis, scuba diving, surfing and walking are all enjoyed by visiting holidaymakers. The Algarve offers a wide range of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone.

About the owner
I am chairman of a group of marketing and internet companies based in Norwich, Norfolk, England. Being a keen golfer, I finally found my perfect Algarve town house villa in Benagil - the most beautiful location I had ever seen. There are a number of testing championship golf courses within 10-15 minutes drive of my property. I am 62 years of age going on 35 and enjoy a very active life both in the UK and Portugal. My companies, formed in 1986, service and support SME's and large plc groups. I fell in love with both Portugal and it's Southern Atlantic coastline because of the wonderful all year round climate, culture, and the safe, secure infrastructure. I love how friendly the Portuguese are, how most speak English fluently, and the wonderful fresh food on offer in great surroundings.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I discovered Benagil in January 2006 after a 2 year search to find a tranquil fishing village on the Algarve. I was looking for somewhere with safe bathing beaches, uncorrupted by development and with easy access to nearby golf courses. Terracos de Benagil is a small exclusive development with its own private swimming pool in a stunning location on the top of the famous Benagil cliffs surrounded by a conservation area perfect for walks and exploring. The beaches are a favourite of local people and families, as Benagil is a very unspoilt traditional fishing village with a small number of select affordable restaurants serving superbly cooked freshly caught fish, Portuguese dishes and great wines. There is a warm, friendly welcome in the village to all visitors.

The views of the Atlantic, and the Algarve coastline that can be seen from the rooftop are breathtaking. A short walk will take you to either of the safe bathing beaches of Benagil or Cavalho. Properties in this select development are owned privately by fellow English or Portuguese professionals like myself who enjoy the tranquility, serenity and beauty of our surroundings. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard in a distinctly Mediterranean style by a talented interior designer, and is well maintained throughout the year. All equipment (including barbecue) is chosen to make your stay pleasurable. There is a good selection of games, books, satellite TV, DVDs and CDs for your entertainment in the comfortable lounge or outside on the garden patio or the roof terrace.
