Just 15 minutes from the ancient walled city of Lagos, with its Marina and varied shops, bars and restaurants. Parque da Floresta is located at the very heart of the unspoilt Western Algarve, with Lagos to the East and Sagres to the West. The villa is beautifully furnished in traditional Portuguese style as a 'home' and offers the highest standard of accommodation. With just a 5 minute stroll to the clubhouse, including restaurants and bars, and just 3 minutes to the pool complex with snack bar, and barbecue during summer months, it is ideally located for a relaxing family holiday.

Changeover day
Ideally changeover day is Saturday. We ask that you vacate by 10am to allow us to prepare for the next guests arriving after 2pm.

Notes on accommodation
All-Round Terracing with possibly the best views on the complex from the wonderful marble-table on the breakfast terrace,over-looking the 18th Green and Clubhouse, and to the sea at Salema (5km/5 mins drive).
Accessibility
Unfortunately not accessible for wheelchair users.
Outside
Mature and secluded private gardens with substantial patio areas surrounding living accommodation with superb views. Private terraces to all the bedrooms lead down to private pool (approx 10m x 5m) with shower, large BBQ area and ample outdoor furniture.
Coast/Beach
The closest of many beaches is Salema only 3 miles away. Luz beach is particularly safe for children with long golden sand and beach bars overlooking the sea. The Western Algarve boasts some of the finest beaches in the World,the choices range from shallow child-safe to wonderfully wild and isolated, all within a few minutes drive.
Golf
Pepe Gancida designed, Parque da Floresta 18 hole par 72 Golf Course (for which guests enjoy 40% discount), driving range, pro shop, club-hire, buggies and tuition. Boavista, Palmares and Penina are all within easy driving distance (max 25 mins).
Special interest holidays
The walking in this area is superb. Guided walks to local interest sights are also available, for senior ramblers and serious trekkers alike. The complex also enjoys tennis courts, a bowls club and horse-riding.
Travel
Faro International airport is an easy 50 minute drive by the new motorway through the picturesque Algarve. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Just 15 mins from the ancient walled city of Lagos, with its Marina and varied shops, bars and restaurants. 15 mins the other way is Sagres with its Fort and lighthouse and spectacular sunsets! The nearest Village is Budens,with local shops etc.,& a good supermarket, only 5 mins.
Further details
The resort commands a hilltop position with breathtaking views across unspoilt countryside to the sea and the surrounding Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve which supports local flora and fauna. The surrounding villages and towns, epitomising the ‘real’ Algarve, are great places to visit for their local markets, shops, bars and restaurants tucked away in narrow cobbled streets. 4 tennis courts also with tuition if required, championship bowls, health and fitness club, Spa and studio, heated swimming pools, mountain bike hire. Many more facilities are available off-site, including jeep safaris and horse-riding. The local supermarket and petrol station are 5 mins drive, and offer a large range of local and international produce, plus a cashpoint!

About the owner
Hi Folks - mum and dad bought a plot of land on a hillside because they loved the Algarve in the mid 80's having played golf in the area for many years
before - They used to rent villas on the Funchal ridge. "Casa Floret" was always their favourite, and although the Villa is run as a business we trust our clients and friends appreciate it too. Since their passing, the Villa is owned and run as a family concern now, and Daughter Trudie looks after arrangements together with our on-site Managers Sue & Tony and the team. We have clients returning year after year and bope to continue the tradition our parents started. We do enjoy the many friendships that have been made over the years with our regular clients - and we hope with you.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had always enjoyed "The unspoilt Western Algarve"
and being amongst the first owners we had choice of position view and style of Villa. We have easy access to the Golf-Club and all the facilities yet still totally private with possibly the best views on the complex - overlooking the 18th.
