Quinta da Altura means “Top of the Hill” and that is where you will exactly find the villa with a large pool (for sole use of guests) with under water lighting. The villa is situated on a peaceful location with no close neighbours and noise at all. It is private (not overlooked) and fenced. The Villa sleeps 6 and consists of 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. The house stays cool in the summer heat as it has thick walls and excellent insulation. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in with oven and fridge. Quinta da Altura is the perfect place for relaxation where guests can sit by the pool and enjoy the wonderful view to the Amendoeiras Golf courses, the sea and the mountains of Monchique. Everybody from different ages is welcome as there is much to occupy within the locality. Quinta da Altura, is centrally located for all the region has to offer. The villa is just a short distance from the Moorish town of Silves, beaches, golf courses, restaurantes and aqua parks.

Notes on accommodation
There is a free starter food pack provided on your arrival. Children are welcome. However is parent’s responsibility to make sure that their children are well and safe. The villa has a play area for children. A babysitting service is also available. However there is a charge. A cot and high chair are also available for babies and infants. The area is ideal for children, with lots of countryside and many amenities in the area, such as waterslide parks, fairground rides and beaches. The villa has solar panels which keeps the water hot longer.
Outside
There is a big garden, a large swimming pool with grassy surround, children play area and a new BBQ with tables and chairs. The pool is entirely for your personal use. It is 33 feet long and has a sun terrace with a collection of pool furniture around it. Children must always be supervised around pool area. Extra towels are provided for use at the poolside and on the beach. Bathroom towels must not be taken out. There is also a rooftop terrace where you can relax, read a book and enjoy the exceptional and fantastic views.
Coast/Beach
Armação de Pêra is the nearest coastal resort with stunning beaches. It is just 10 mins car drive away. The Praia Grande beach and nature reserve is in between Armação de Pêra and Galé known for having beautiful long stretch of unspoilt coastline with a natural lagoon and marshes; it is an ideal spot to watch Flamingos and other water fowl. Near Gale there is another beach called Salgados. The Wild West coast (Sagres) is famous because of long beaches and great surfing conditions.
Golf
Golfers are spoilt for choice. This is Europe's Foremost golfing destinations. At the last count there were 21 golf complexes along the Algarve, the nearest one is the Amendoeiras Golf Course which opened in 2008. You can overlook this golf course from the villa. There is another Golf course only 15 minutes drive called 5 Star Pestana Silves Golf Course.
Travel
40 minutes drive from Faro Airport via motorway A22 or 2 hours drive from Lisbon airport via motorway A2. There is toll road charge now. However you can use other roads free of charge but will take you longer. Car hire is essential and can be arranged for collection from the airport. A map with some more details about the villa will be send by post to your address after your booking/deposit.

Quinta da altura is half a mile from the village of Alcantarilha Gare, The main village of Alcantarilha is 5 minutes drive, 5 minutes drive to the brand new Amendoeiras Golf Course, 10 minutes drive to town of Silves, the old Moorish capital of Algarve, 10 minutes drive to Armacao de Pera beaches, 10 minutes drive to Aqualand park in Alcantarilha, 15 minutes to ZooMarine, 25 minutes to the biggest shopping centre in Algarve, Algarve shopping centre is the nearest.

Hiya, my name is Maria and I am Portuguese. I live in the warm and beautiful Algarve with my Husband Jose and my youngest son Alexandre and three lovely doggies and a cat. I also have one daughter who lives in England. My husband and I do the maintenance of the Villa and any information or query, you can email or ring me. Why the owner chose a home in this location
Quinta Da Altura means Top of the Hill and that is where you will exactly find the villa! The area is very quiet and the villa is fenced and no close neighbours. It provides a large pool only for the guests. It is perfect to relax and enjoy the beautiful view to the sea and mountains. The Villa is also situated on the centre of Algarve which makes it easier to go to anywhere and it is near Faro airport (45minutes driving). There are aqua parks, shoppings, beaches and restaurants near the villa. However you need a car if you fancy visiting the area. When you book the villa I will send you a map with all the details that you need, to find the villa. The villa also provides different leaflets with information about the area and a visit book where guests can leave their feedback.

From the villa as it is situated on the top of the hill, you can enjoy the views of the largest and new golf course of Algarve, the beaches and the mountains. We also have Aqua parks, shoppings and restaurants around. You do not need to drive too much to go to the beach. However if you do not fancy to go to the beach, it is not a problem, as you can always stay in the Villa and enjoy the pool, the children's area and the big BBQ.
