The Quinta is located 12km from Tavira, on the East side of the Algarve. It is positioned in a quiet location in the Santa Catarina Hills with panoramic views over the countryside and to the coast. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty with indigenous trees and shrubs (cork, cork oak, carob, almond, olive, lemon, rock rose and medronho bush) with most of the surrounding lands completely natural. It occupies a private position within 10,000 square metres of its own land. The Quinta was fully restored in the late 1990s retaining many original features and styles. It is reached by a tarmac road and through gates to a gravel drive. We are far enough away from the hustle and bustle but a 20 minute drive to the Roman town of Tavira and the surrounding areas/beaches and 10 minutes drive to St. Catarina. The property has 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has French doors opening to its own private balcony. Upstairs is a south facing good sized terrace.

Faro airport 30 minutes by car, Seville 1 hour 45 minutes, Lisbon 2 hours 45 minutes.

Distances
Fonte de Bispo village 5 mins drive. St. Catarina (local shops, mini market, pharmacy, English newspapers etc) 10 minutes drive. S. Bras de Alportel (shops/large supermarket/restaurants) is 15 minutes by car. Beaches are about 20 minutes drive away (choice of several). The old fishing villages of St. Lucia, Cabanas and Cacela Velha are all around 20 mins drive. The beautiful Ria Formosa National Park is also well worth a visit. Seville is less than 2 hours drive.

Booking notes
50% deposit to secure and confirm a booking. Balance payable before travel. A small holding deposit is also requested and will be released after inventory.

About the owner
I'm a British private owner who uses the quinta every year for a week or so in low season. Its a home from home as well as a peaceful retreat to my family so its well looked after.
