| Kitchen: | The kitchen is extensively equipped with crockery/cutlery for 10. Granite surfaces throughout. There is an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle - everything you could wish for. |
| Utility Room: | Just off the kitchen the utility room contains a washing machine, clothes drier, iron, ironing board and ..importantly ... a second drinks for drinks. |
| Living Rooms: | Very spacious indeed. Large 4 seater comfy sofas and chairs, dining room to side. Comfortably seats 9/10 all areas. Satellite TV (with BBC and ITV channels) and a DVD player which also plays CDs. 2 large doors lead to pool, terrace and gardens. |

Notes on accommodation
Price includes: FREE heated pool mid March to early November.
All linen/towels except cot linen, up to 8 pool/beach towels so no need to bring your own. Weekly villa cleaning/linen change. Also, important we think, services of English local managers (who also speak French and Portuguese) who will meet you soon after arrival and remain on call 24/7 throughout your holiday.
For late arrivals we can arrange for an overnight food/drinks pack to be waiting. Car hire essential and we are happy to provide you with some recommendations on request.
The villa is only 20+ mins from Faro airport. Approx 90 mins from Seville, 2.5 hours Lisbon. No problems hiring car in Spain and bringing to Portugal.
Accessibility
The villa is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor (3 bedrooms, lounge, dining area, kitchen, 3 bathrooms) with a sloping ramp from the gate to front door. There are two shallow steps leading from the terrace to the pool.
Outside
The villa is surrounded by a large beautiful garden, approximate plot size is over half an acre. The pool terrace is fully equipped with loungers, tables, chairs and and there is deep shade under a bamboo pergola for warmer months. A large BBQ is located on the terrace. There is a second pergola in the lower garden with further shade, seating and lighting. There is a full sized volley ball/badminton area in the garden and boules area to the side of the garden. Games room with table tennis, table top football and adult darts in the basement. Lots of off road parking and the property is fully gated. You will be thrilled. Importantly the villa is not isolated. But set amongst other executive villas, all with half acre plots.
Coast/Beach
Fuseta, the local beach is only 6 miles away. Within only 15 minutes there are some truly outstanding beaches/islands (Tavira, Olhao, Altura to name but a few), many of which are reached by small train or by small boat. These are unspoilt huge beaches, safe, spotlessly clean and uncrowded. Ideal!! Major central Algarve attractions are only 30+ mins by car, then you can return to the peace and tranquility of the unspoilt low cost Eastern Algarve. Excellent Welcome Book in villa with more info.
Golf
There are numerous new, truly wonderful, Eastern Algarve golf courses within 10/20 minutes of the villa, particularly championship courses Cima, Benamor and Ria. Towards the Spanish coast, only 20 mins away there is the Castro Marim Golf Course and 2/3 more at Ayamonte. Golfers recently visiting the area have been amazed how easy courses are to access and books tees. The truly wonderful Monte Rei course is approx 25 mins away. 5 mins away in Moncarapacho is an excellent 9 hole par 3 course we are told will sharpen up your game!
Travel
The villa is located 2.5 miles outside Moncarapacho, approximately 20 mins from Faro airport on fast roads. 5-8 mins drive to hypermarkets in Olhao, other local villages and markets. Car hire essential to enjoy this unspoilt part of the world and we are happy to recommend local companies to you.
Distances
Faro airport is only 20-25 minutes away by brand new fast motorway. Olhao, Estoi, Altura, Tavira and many more unspoilt villages/towns are all within 10-20 minutes drive of the villa. Car hire essential to enjoy this holiday. Nearest shops/supermarkets in Moncarapacho/Olhao approx 4-5 mins drive. Wonderful bistro only 800m from the villa, a gentle 12-15 min walk, offering excellent local food at low cost. Wine 5 euros/litre, large beer 2 euros, an inclusive lunch 6.5 euros! Come and enjoy!
Further details
Moncarapacho, just 2.5 miles away has several supermarkets, internet cafes, banks, restaurants, pharmacy, local daily market, bars, kiosk for English papers and cigarettes, churches and its own museum. Olhao is close by with hypermarkets, wonderful fish restaurants, shopping, marina and access by boat to wonderful beach islands. Estoi is a charming town with its own Riccoco palace recently developed into a poussada. Also has charming church square and remains of Roman villa. Faro with wonderful historic centre and marine is approx 20 mins drive away. Lots of information in the Welcome Book in the villa on how to access many attractions together with broad range of recommended restaurants.

A superb villa, best holiday yet. We will be back! Thanks Jochen for letting us stay in your wonderful villa.. We so enjoyed the entire week and the BBQs on the terrace most nights followed by midnight swims in your floodlit pool were quite memorable. Can't wait to return.
We have normally holidayed more centrally in the Algarve so coming to the Eastern Algarve was a very pleasant surprise and one we will repeat time and time again. Wonderful local people, inexpensive food and a fabulous villa and warm pool. So unspoilt.
