Easy residents only parking and in a quiet location set back from the beach front. South facing over the bay it enjoys the sun all day. Swim in the sheltered waters of the bay, enjoy a dip in the pool, or just relax and watch the setting sun from one of the 4 front balconies. Ideally located you won't need to drive off anywhere to enjoy a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars.

Notes on prices
Prices are for property per week in UK pounds. £15 extra per week for the 7th to 10th person. Please contact us for longer lets and long weekends out of season. Special rates for couples wishing to stay out of season, and for Christmas and New Year prices please enquire. (Property benefits from full central heating).
Changeover day
Flexible changeover days. Minimum 7 nights stay during peak periods. Arrival time after 4pm depature time by 10am when fully booked, although times can be flexed by arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
The lower ground floor with its own bathroom, lounge and bedroom provides the perfect answer for those older children or second family wishing to have their own space. The property being fully centrally heated is an ideal get away for the winter. We also provide child gates, a cot and high chair as well as plastic cups and plates for the little ones. There is also a safety box in the house for valuables.
Outside
4 balconies and lawned area to the front of the property, rear and side patio with furniture and built in barbecue. Shared pool with terrace, loungers, tables and benches, (pool open between 1 June and 30 September).
Coast/Beach
The safe sheltered beach of Sao Martinho, is only a few minutes stroll away. Salir Do Porto 5 minutes drive the other side of the bay, with new seasonal public pool opened 2009. Foz do Arelho and Obidos lagoon are only ten minutes drive south. Nazare beach with its water sports and nightlife is only 20 minutes drive north.
Golf
The renowned Praia del Rey 18 hole golf course is only 35 minutes by car. Rio Maior (Golden eagle) 18 holes 30 minutes. Torres Vedras (Vimeiro) 9 holes 35 minutes. Peniche (atlantico) 9 holes 35 minutes. Obidos Bom Sucesso (new 2008) 18 holes 20 minutes.
Travel
Lisbon Airport 1 hours drive up the A8 motorway. Easy jet direct from Luton, Liverpool, Gatwick, Bristol and Edinburgh. BMI Baby direct from Birmingham. TAP from London and Manchester, British Airways from London airports. Aer Lingus from Dublin and Cork. Oporto Airport just over 2 hours drive by motorway. Faro approximately 3.5 hours drive. Car hire recommended to explore the area, although there are both train and bus links to Sao Martinho, and taxi services are available.
Distances
Obidos, a beautiful medieval walled town is 20 minutes by car.
Foz do Arelho and Obidos lagoon is 10 minutes by car.
Nazare town, beach, watersports, Aqua Park, new medium sized supermarket 20 minutes by car. Caldas da Rainha, main town for shopping, 20 minutes by car. Lisbon, the lively capital of Portugal, events, shopping etc. 1 hour by car. Peniche, largest fishing port in the area, great surfing plus Aqua park 30 mins by car. Alcobaca Abbey with tombs of King Pedro 1, 30 minutes by car.

Sao Martinho has numerous shops, restaurants cafes (some with internet) and bars. Internet also available at Tourist Information Centre. Also a daily market, supermarkets, banks and medical centre. Very welcoming Catholic church 5 minutes walk. Fishing locally from beaches rock marks and boats. Renowned surfing beaches along the coast, surf school at Peniche. Sailing and Windsurfing at Obidos lagoon. Horse riding in Alfeizerao 5 minutes by car. Discos in both Sao Martinho and Salir do Porto 20 minutes walk away.

Furnishings facility's size were all excellent as is its location. I really can't think of anything that you could add to the property that would add to the enjoyment of a family large or small staying there. Very often when on holiday we have found ourselves having to eat out every evening because promised facilities have not been up to scratch but with the local market, bakers and butchers being a stroll away an evening in is a pleasure. About the owner
We have been married for over 20 years, have 3 children, a dog called Indy and various other animals. We live in a village in North Yorkshire England. I enjoy fishing especially out at sea on the boats, golfing and being out doors as much as possible. Alison enjoys swimming, eating out, and watching her favourite football team. We both enjoy holidaying abroad especially in Portugal and Greece.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with the Siver Coast and found Sao Martinho to offer everything we needed. A safe bay, friendly people, and so much to see and do within the surrounding area. We wanted something modern and spacious which we could enjoy with all our family and friends.
Unique benefits of the property
The house is ideally located in a quiet residential area. We wanted to be able to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes without having to rely on the car. Being split over 3 floors and having 2 lounge areas allows everyone to have their own space, which is important when you are holidaying as groups.
Sandra who lives locally and looks after our property is always available to help and advise our guests and has a wealth of information about the area.
