Within an easy stroll of the beaches: ALTO GOLF is a small complex located between Alvor and Praai da Rocha, there is a shared swimming pool set amongst landscaped gardens. Just a short walk to the beach but a car or taxi is required to reach shops and restuarants. CLUBE ALVOR RIA is a small complex by the harbour in the village of Alvor. The complex has an outdoor dip pool and large sun terrace. Alvor, with shops,bars and restaurants is directly next to the complex. No car is needed at this resort. The 3 miles of sandy beach is a short stroll on flat ground.There is a newly constructed boardwalk over the sand dunes providing wonderful walks and suitable for wheelchairs and baby buggies.

Notes on accommodation
The Clube Alvor Ria apartments are part air conditioned. TV showing local channels is available. cable does not include access to subscription channels such as Sky Movies or entertainment channels and Sky Sport. No guarantee can be made for the provision of any specific satellite channels. BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5 can be shown. No smoking inside apartment. Sorry, no pets allowed.
Accessibility
SECURITY: The apartments are accessible only by gate switch card and the keys are in a coded box. The security card and key code will be supplied on arrival.
Note: Security card must be left in apartment on departure, failure to do this will result in clients being charged for replacements.(Security deposit required refundable when card/keys etc returned)
Outside
Very large sun terraces with table, chairs, sunbeds. Outdoor dip pool. The site has underground car parking, with secure key entrance and lockable storage cupboard for golf clubs, pushchairs etc.
Golf
The golf courses of Alto Golf & Country Club and Penina are 5 minutes by car.
Travel
Faro airport is 70km, about 45/60 minutes drive, mostly motorway. Car hire is advisable but not essential with the availability of taxis and bus service. A train service is also available.
Distances
Alto Golf lies in between Alvor and Praia da Rocha and close to the beach resort of Vau where there are many beach cafes. The beach can be reached by just crossing the road and walking for 5 mins along a sandy track through the pine trees. The beach is considered one of the best in the area being very sheltered. Clube Ria is on the harbourfront of Alvor and can be quite lively at night in peak season. On the edge of the village everything is easily accessible. The beach is just 5 mins walk away.
Further details
The village of Alvor is located between 2 big towns, Portimao (5km) and Lagos (17km). In the village itself there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and gift shops. The beach, one of the longest in Algarve, has many eating places along it, with beautiful rocks and coves at the west corner.
Booking notes
All prices are based on 4 people sharing; additional people staying add £ 30 pp pw. A deposit of £150 secures the booking and final payment is due 10 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit will be required and is returned after property inspection and return of security cards (details sent on booking).
