Quinta de Gozende affords stunning views over the Serra D’Arga and is situated on the outskirts of the quiet village of Vinhas but is only 4km from the bustling market town of Paredes de Coura. There is a small café/restaurant and a Roman Catholic church in the village. The house is surrounded by 6 acres of garden with mature trees, vines and has its own private swimming pool. The farmhouse was thoughtfully restored in 1998 although a new kitchen was fitted in 2006. The house sleeps 6 (plus small child's bed). The barn was restored in 2007 and has 1 double bedroom, a bunk room, shower room and kitchenette. The newly built pool is breathtaking with views over the distant mountains.

The BBQ is situated next to the pool and many meals can be enjoyed here in the summer. The pool is maintained by a local English man. |

The maid will will come once during the week to clean the house. There is also a gardener who comes once a week to maintain the garden. All towels and linen is provided including pool towels. |

Pool is gated and has a secure cover for extra safety House and garden are child friendly and secure. The garden is secluded and not overlooked by any neighbours. It borders a national park.

Outside
Large garden on 6 terraced levels. Private heated swimming pool with patio area and built in barbecue. Outdoor furniture including sun loungers and deckchairs. The house is at the end of a small village road and is very quiet. The neighbours' properties are lower down the hill so the garden is completely secluded and private.
Coast/Beach
The nearest coast is 30 minutes by car but locally there is a well maintained river beach area in Paredes de Coura. The wide sandy beaches are beautiful and well maintained. They are well worth the journey.
Special interest holidays
There are some local rivers which are good for fly fishing.
Travel
There are some very well priced flights in to Porto airport which is 75 minutes by car from the property. Car hire from the airport is well signposted. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Paredes de Coura is 10 mins drive away and is well equipped with all necessary shops. Spanish border - 25 minutes, Valenca (Roman fort) - 20 minutes, Ponte de Lima (Roman town) - 30 mins, Caminha - 20 mins.
