Ideal location for golfers with many excellent courses within a short drive. The apartment is close to the spectacular Guincho beaches and the World Heritage town of Sintra. The comfortable, well appointed apartment is situated in a quiet area of Cascais, a mere 5 min drive or 20 min walk from the vibrant town centre. If you see a map of Cascais, the apartment is close to the Bull Ring. The location is ideal for beach and water sports holidays. The spectacular Guincho coast with white sandy beaches and rocky coves are minutes drive from the apartment – the beaches there are host to the World Wind Surfing championships. There are many smaller beaches between Cascais and Estoril. The beautiful, World Heritage town of Sintra with its castles and palaces is a 20 minute drive (the view from the castle perched high on the 500m hills is breathtaking). Sintra was Lord Byron’s refuge.

The location is ideal for beach and water sports holidays. Western Coast: The spectacular Guincho coast with white sandy beaches and rocky coves are mins drive from the apartment, the beaches there are host to the World Wind Surfing championships. Southern beaches: There are many smaller beaches between Cascais (5 mins drive, 20 mins on foot, public transports available) and Estoril (10´drive, public transports available). Water skiing facilities available at Cascais Bay.
Golf
Ideal location for golfers with many excellent courses within a short drive. The golf courses of Oitavos, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Beloura, Estoril (27 holes) are nearby (5 mins drive). Penha Longa (27 holes), Belas, the Lisbon Sports Club are within a 20 min drive. Within an hour’s drive are Praia D’El Rey, Ribagolfe I & II, St Estavao, Qtª do Peru, Aroeira I & II, Montado and Troia.
Travel
Nearest airport is Lisboa/Portela. 30 mins drive from the flat. There is a bus from the airport to Cascais. For Golf activities and for sightseeing car hire is recommended.

Near the apartment, there are supermarkets (one of them opened on Sunday: Lidl) and some restaurants (ex. Redes do Mar- Estrada da Torre, 10' on foot; restaurants of ‘Casa da Guia’ and several other near the sea, 10 mins on foot (ex. Mar do Inferno, 15 mins on foot). Banks 5 mins on foot. Small playground for children nearby, mini-zoo at the Castro Guimarães park (near the main church and the citadelle and the Naval Club). From the city centre, trains to Lisbon (circa 30 mins).
