Changeover day
Negotiable. Arrivals from 2 pm, but free to leave luggage at villa if arriving earlier, and villa to be vacated by 10am on departure day.

Notes on accommodation
Very suitable for young children and older people. Ground floor on one level, no steps (2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on ground floor). Same level onto terrace. Spacious accommodation, suitable for large parties.

Outside
10 metre swimming pool, large tiled table (shaded) with chairs on terrace, sunbeds, terraces on 2 levels. Extensive garden. Shaded area in garden with table and benches. Excellent artificial surface tennis court suitable for balls games as well as tennis. Barbecue. Inflatables, small inflatable paddling pool for babies. Lots of beach toysbats, balls etc.

Coast/Beach
10 km - 20 minutes drive to beaches at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, via Almancil. Variety of beach cafes, bars and restaurants, good beach walks, water sports. At Vilamoura access to all kinds of boat trips - cruises, fishing etc.

Golf
10 km from golfing centres of Quinto do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Pineiros Altos.
Local agent can advise on bookings. We can offert, through our local agent, guided nature walks and cycling tours.

Travel
Faro airport is 20 minutes drive away. Car hire is essential.

Distances
10 km from Faro, 8 km from Loule, 10 km from Almancil - all excellent for shopping. 4 km from village of Santa Barbara de Nexe where there are restaurants, small supermarket, bank and post office.

Further details
All guests are sent clear directions from Faro airport to villa and advice on shopping. There are various water-parks in the area for fun-days out with the kids. Amazing golf courses within 20 minutes drive. We have an excellent local Portuguese managing agent who will call on clients within 24 hours of arrival to give information on local amenities. She will also provide a welcome food parcel for your arrival and is available to give any advice and assistance throughout your stay. There is a safe in the house for storing clients passports, valuables etc. At Casa Manjericao we provide a well-equipped holiday home with lots of extras and plenty of assitance/advice on what goes on in the area, including an extensive restaurant guide. We can a;lspo offer, through our local managing agent, catered meals, including cooked lunch/dinner on day of arrival.

Booking notes
When a booking is confirmed a deposit of £50 per person is payable, the balance being due 8 weeks prior to departure.
Cheques acceptable for bookings taken from the UK. Euro transfers to bank in Santa Barbara de Nexe for bookings from overseas clients.

Wonderfully spacious house, and such friendly maid service.
We were a 4 generation family - and we all loved it.

My family of three generations has been visiting Casa Manjericao for 12 years.
Last year we couldn't get a booking when we wanted it sp tppl another villa in the area. This year we went back and my grandchildren commented "Oh good, we are going back to our proper Portugal house."

Have stayed here with friends and with family. It wouldn't feel like summer if we did not visit this super holiday home.

About the owner
I live in Hertfordshire with my husband Richard. We have two grown up, married sons and two grandchildren. We are now retired but working careers for both of us were in the media. We enjoy informal holidays with family and friends, and Casa Manjericao enables us to do that.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We started holidaying in Portugal in the early eighties & fell in love with the country.Lovely beaches, great restaurants and the people are so friendly - after all Portugal is our oldest ally! We have extended the house, developed the garden, built a tennis court and made it an ideal spacious family holiday home.My sons & grandchildren just love it. Casa Manjericao offers seclusion - you are not overlooked and the kids can make as much noise as they like, yet we are within a twenty minute drive of Faro airport, beaches and golf courses at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. I am delighted to say that many of our clients are 'returners' (1 family 12 times) and their families and friends.
