This 2 bedroom apartment faces west towards the sea and has magnificent views down the 1st fairway to the Atlantic Ocean. Within the beautiful landscaped gardens there is a swimming pool and barbeque area. The prestigious apartment block was rated as the number one Portuguese apartment complex in the Homes Overseas Awards in 2004. Being part of a Marriott Golf resort you can be assured of a high standard of finish. The 5* hotel is only a short walk away and benefits from some fantastic facilities. There is a large 7 court tennis centre on the resort and the 2 mile long beach is excellent for surfing, so there is always plenty to do. The Praia D'el Rey Club is peacefully located on the Atlantic Ocean near the medieval town of Obidos and is a comfortable 1 hour drive from Lisbon. Obidos is considered to be one of the jewels of Portugal's national heritage. Completely enclosed by medieval walls, this small town consists of small whitewashed houses.

Outside
Outside are well maintained gardens surrounding the shared pool. There is a shared barbeque area.
Coast/Beach
A 5 minute walk to a fantastic stretch of beach which is normally very quiet. Surfers are regularly seen riding the Atlantic waves.
The wonderful Obidos lagoon is a 10 minute drive away and is used by windsurfers and for swimming.
Golf
The ‘Peugeot Golf Guide’ rated Praia D’el Rey No.1. It was a Gold Award Winner for Best Golf Development by 'Homes Overseas' (magazine) and rated 13th best in Europe by ‘Golf World’ (magazine). The par 72 links style course has fairways that run parallel to the glorious beach and fairways that dogleg through the pines. Regularly a host for major competitions this is one of the most beautiful and interesting courses in Europe. Trolleys, buggies and clubs are available to rent and professionals are on hand for lessons. Facilities include driving range, chipping, putting and bunker practice areas. The clubhouse has a good bar and restaurant. Savings in green fees can be made if you book in advance through 3dgolf.com. Other courses are within driving distance. The apartment is perfectly placed for the 1st tee, 18th green, driving range and clubhouse. All are within 2 minutes from the apartment door.
Distances
Praia d'el Rey is an easy drive from Lisbon airport, about 1 hour on the A8. The drive from Faro is about 3 hours and about 2 hours from Porto. Full directions from Lisbon airport will be provided. Car hire is recommended. The medieval walled town of Obidos is a 20 min drive, as is Peniche; Caldhas da Rainha is about 30 min drive.

Peniche - 20 mins.
Baleal - 15 mins.
Caldas da Rainha - 30 mins.
Further details
Convenience store, 10 minutes walk (2 mins by car) within the resort. Small supermarket in nearby village, larger ones in Peniche and Caldas da Raina.
Golf clubhouse has bar, good restaurant and lovely terrace for sundowners. Takeaway menu available.
Marriott Hotel in the resort has bar, restaurants and health spa.

Obidos: picturesque medieval walled town with castle, good bars and restaurants.
Obidos Lagoon: Large saltwater lagoon with a magnificent sand bar situated between it and the sea. The protected beach and dunes make it a perfect place for swimming and boating.
Peniche: fishing port with excellent restaurants. Seasonal water park.
Caldas da Rainha: spa town with good shops & local market selling seasonal produce.
Lisbon: Sophisticated, beautiful and full of history. Lisbon has many different attractions.
