Notes on accommodation
This is a renovated little townhouse, the accommodation sleeps 6/7 although to enjoy the space to its best the house would suit smaller families or couples.
It's a traditional built stonehouse so is wonderfully cool in the summer and a wood burning stove provides comfort in the winter months.

Outside
A balcony with table and chairs along with a barbecue provide a place to eat outside. The beach and sea are close.
Coast/Beach
The safe beach at Sao Martinho do Porto is five minutes walking, and the beach at Nazare with its water sports is a 10 minute drive. Foz do Arelho has a fantastic beach good for windsurfing.
Golf
The golf resort at Praia del Rey is approximately 30 minutes by car.
Travel
Lisbon is the nearest airport just 55 minutes by car on the A8. Monarch fly Gatwick to Lisbon, Easyjet fly from Luton to Lisbon, along with Tap airlines. Oporto airport is a 3 hour motorway drive, Ryanair fly from Stansted to here. Faro airport is 4 hours by motorway.
Distances
The medieval town of Obidos is a 15 minute car journey.
Caldas da Rainha is a larger town for shopping 10 minutes by car. Cascais and Estoril with its casino are 45 minutes by car. The palace at Sintra is also about 45 minutes by car.
2008 Chocolate Festival is held in Obidos on Febuary 14th. Book a romantic break!

Sao Martinho do Porto is well equipped with banks, a medical centre, vets, shops and restaurants, along with its fresh daily food market. A water park at Nazare, a dinosaur trail and historic caves that you can walk through are all located within a short distance of the town.
