This well furnished, spacious, modern house is set in a well maintained communal garden, with access to a large shared outdoor pool (12.5 x 7.8m at widest). The house has sun terraces on the first and second floors, which are ideal for alfresco dining or to just relax with a drink watching the sun go down over the sea. There are 3 double bedrooms, 3 fully fitted bathrooms, 1 en-suite and 1 with jacuzzi bath. All bedrooms have terraces. The fully fitted kitchen/diner also includes washing machine and dishwasher and has patio doors to the rear patio. The large lounge/diner also has a flat screen satellite TV and DVD, and has patio doors leading onto the communal garden. There is WiFi internet access. Located approximately 1000m from the beautiful beach at Foz do Arelho, the house is centrally positioned and enjoys panoramic views over the Obidos Lagoon towards the sea. The location provides access to a unique combination of safe bathing in the lagoon next to the majestic Atlantic Ocean.

The house is available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
Due to property being on 3 floors with no stairgates, we do not feel that it would be suitable for very small children. We regret no smoking in the property.
Accessibility
As the property is on 3 floors it is unfortunately not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
Communal garden area, pool (12.5 metres length x 7.8 metres wide, at widest) shared with just 4 other properties. 5 terraces, 3 with sea views, garden furniture on all floors to back and front of property. Mobile BBQ.
Coast/Beach
Óbidos lagoon is 10 mins walk. Foz do Arelho beach is 2 mins drive or 15-20 mins walk. Foz beach has numerous bars and restaurants.
The Lagoon is perfect for young families, as it is a very safe and calm bathing area. For the more adventurous you also have the waves at the other end of the beach. There is also beach entertainment in the day and evenings during the summer weeks. However, the beach is so huge you can be far enough away not to know it's there!
Golf
Praia d'el Rey (ranked no. 1 in Portugal by Peugeot's 2003 Guide & 13th best in Europe's Golf World) and Golden Eagle golf courses are 30 mins drive. Numerous courses around Lisbon 1 hour drive.
Travel
Lisbon airport is approx 50 mins drive, 88km. Porto 3 hours. Faro 4 hours. Car hire is recommended to take full advantage of this beautiful area. Direct flights to Lisbon - Easyjet from Luton and Bristol. Monarch from Gatwick. BMIbaby from Birmingham. Flights also from Heathrow.
Distances
Foz do Arelho centre is 2 minutes walk. There is a post office, bank, cafes/bars, restaurants, bakers, butchers, 2 small supermarkets, fishing tackle shop and surgery.
Obidos, heritage, walled medieval town -10 mins drive.
Water sports available, 4 mins drive
Caldas da Rainha, main shopping centre - 10 mins drive.
Sao Martinho do Porto - resort in beautiful bay 10 mins drive.
Nazare, for windsurfing, body boarding, water park etc 25 mins drive.
Peniche with water park - 30 mins drive.
Further details
Escola de Vela da Lagoa sailing school, just 5 mins drive away is where you can take up windsurfing, catamaran, sailing or kite-surfing, either to hire or for courses on the lagoon well away from bathers in a safe environment.
