Changeover day
Changeover day preferably Thursday to Saturday during high season (June - September). Access can be gained after 2pm on arrival and you must vacate by 10 am on the day of departure. Early arrival and late checkout maybe available on request.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has been designed and fitted with children in mind. The pool area has a large very shallow area particularly suitable for small children or to enjoy your drink in the pool in the evening during the hot summer months. The environmentally friendly cool house system provides a welcome relief from the summer heat and the radiant skirting system provides winter warmth. An information manual detailing amenities, locations, restaurants and children’s activities is available in the villa.
Outside
Large beautifully landscaped garden with patio area, sunloungers, dining furniture and barbecue. Swimming pool with a very shallow end, pool heating and salt water chlorinator to reduce skin irritation.
Coast/Beach
Endless beautiful uncrowded sandy beaches and stunning coves dot the coastline of the Western Algarve. The charming fishing village of Burgau is a 5 minute drive and has lovely beach bars serving grilled fish and other traditional Portuguese dishes. Many other beaches are within 10-20 minutes drive and await to be explored!
Golf
Parque De Floresta (3km) and Boa Vista (4km) are 2 superb golf courses welcoming to visitors.
Travel
Alma Verde is located 10km West of Lagos (100km of Faro) on the EN125. With the opening of the new motorway extension to the Western Algarve, the journey from Faro International Airport to the villa is now a comfortable 60 minutes.
Lisbon and Seville airport are a 2 and a half hour drive, flights to these airports can be a lot cheaper at the peak season.
Car hire is essential in order to make the most of the surrounding area.
Distances
Burgau is a 5 minute drive, and Lagos with its beautiful marina is 10 km. It is teaming with traditional cafes and shops and offers exciting boat trips to nearby fantastic sandstone caves or fishing and dolphin excursions. Historical Silves and Monchique are both within a 30 minute drive as are some of Europe’s biggest slide and waterparks and “Zoomarine” with its stunning dolphin and sea lion shows.

A deposit of 30% is required on booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure.
