The accommodations occupy an acre of hilltop, totally fenced & accessed via electric gates in total peace & tranquillity & only 15 minutes from Faro airport and the coast. The Quinta is in central Algarve, south facing & is set in beautiful countryside overlooking the town of Loulé, which is only 1.5km down the road, the views are breathtaking both by day & at night! Parts of the Quinta date back to mid 19th Century and each of the 4 baby/family/over 50's friendly accommodations have their own kitchens, private south facing sun terraces and private BBQ areas. All the accommodations been furnished to a very high standard & attention to detail very evident in all. The Quintassential is an ideal place to holiday individually with their own bit of privacy which everyone loves. No charge is made for children under the age of 2 and a whole range of equipment is provided free of charge. These cottages are the the newer cottages available, light & airy 1 bedroom cottages with a large bedroom with a double bed/twin beds or king size bed, security safe, 21 inch TV & DVD player, video player & patio doors leading on to the sun terrace. The bedrooms are large enough to also accommodate a childs single sofa chair or a cot. There is a modern bathroom with shower, washbasin with vanity unit, WC, bidet & shaver point. The spacious lounge/diner is tastefully decorated & has gas central heating for the cooler winter evenings. The lounge has a large comfy leather sofa, 32 inch LCD TV, Sat TV, DVD player & mini Hi-Fi with MP3 reader & patio doors leading onto a private terrace with tables, chairs & a brick built BBQ & its own lemon tree to give you added natural shade. The modern kitchenette comprises of fridge with freezer compartment, combi microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine & electric hob. The Lemon sleeps 2 adults & 1 infant or 1 small child. |

The Casa Do Forno Cottage is the the cottage with most character, a 1 bedroom rustic duplex cottage tastefully decorated & boasting many original features from the old Quinta. Bedroom with double bed. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen/dining area with original bread oven & stone sink dating back to the 19th century. The kitchen comprises of fridge freezer, combi microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, coffee filter machine & gas hob. From the dining area there are doors leading on to a completely private terrace with BBQ, table & chairs. There is also a wood burning stove for the cooler winter evenings & 24/7 heat. The TV lounge area has spectacular views and has a mini Hi-Fi stereo radio/CD player & MP3 reader, 19 inch flat screen TV with free to view UK channels & DVD player. The Casa Do Forno Cottage has it own garden with a further seating area & is surrounded by an abundance of beautiful flowers and shrubs. There are also sun loungers. This accommodation sleeps 2 adults. |

Notes on accommodation
On arrival at the accommodations you will be met by the owners who also occupy a cottage on site & who are to hand should you require any assistance. Also you will have a welcome hamper awaiting your arrival. For all guests there is a laundry service available for a small additional charge. Towels & bed linen are provided & changed during the stay. Bathrobes are provided for the use of all our adult guests. Pool towels are available to be used only at the Quintassential. Guests will need to bring their own beach towels. Cots, highchairs & many other baby items are available at no extra cost. Satellite TV, Video Recorder, DVD and radio/CD players are provided in all the accommodations except Casa Do Forno Cottage where there is a radio/CD player, DVD & LCD TV with Sat TV (UK freeto view). Hairdryers are available in all the cottages. All cottages have a selection of puzzles & reading books. Sorry, no pets. We do not permit smoking in the accommodations. No group bookings allowed.
Accessibility
The Casa do Forno Cottage is not suitable for people with walking difficulties due to the rustic stairs. None of the accommodations have wheelchair access. There are steps leading to the pool area and steps leading to the Orange Cottage. The garden is a terraced garden.
Outside
The Quintassential occupies an acre of hilltop & our gardens are spectacular & contains many trees such as lemon, orange, fig, carob, plum & many beautiful plants/bushes. There are many nooks for you to find peace & tranquility & admire our breathtaking views. The views are spectacular with panoramic sea views stretching from Faro beach to Portimao, approx 60 kms worth of views & country views that are indeed breathtaking.
It is the ideal place to relax, read a book, have a drink & enjoy the sunny Algarve. Surrounding the Quinta there are many walks & we are ideally located for bird watchers. We have a wonderful pool area where you can relax in total peace & tranquility & enjoy the views of the countryside. The pool itself is 10m x 5m set amidst trees. There is a hot tub/Jacuzzi for guest use. Sunloungers, parasols, tables & chairs are provided. Each cottage has its own private terrace with tables & chairs & their own brick built BBQ. The pool is heated Oct-Apr at no extra cost.
Coast/Beach
The beach resorts of Quarteira, Vilamoura, Quinta Do Lago and Faro Beach are a mere 15 minutes drive away.

Distances
The market town of Loule is 5 minutes drive from the Quintassential. Loule hosts one of the most famous markets in Portugal and is a lively market town with many restaurants, bars, shops, banks everything one needs for a holiday. The shopping centres are only a 10/15 minute drive away in Faro & Guia. Spain is only 30 minutes away. We are located in the centre of the Algarve therefore making your travelling to eastern or western parts of the Algarve much easier.

The owners also live on site in the 5th accommodation so are at hand should you require any assistance, but will never invade your privacy. The owners are both fluent in English and Portuguese. There is vast information to hand regarding the local area of Loule, the 54km walks around Loule, the local restaurants and general information about the Algarve. The owners wish to make your stay at the Quintassential as enjoyable as possible. The Quintassential is ideally located for golf, tennis (please enquire regarding special deals), waterparks, walking holidays, bird watching, shopping, sight-seeing and many more. At the Quintassential you can unwind, relax, enjoy the peace and tranquillity but yet you are only minutes away from modern living. We do not charge for children under the age of 2 and can provide a range of equipment for babies and toddlers free of charge, meaning you can travel lighter! Booking notes
A 30% non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and this is payable by bank transfer in to a UK bank account or via credit card using PayPal. The remainder of the balance is payable six weeks prior to arrival along with a returnable damages deposit.

About the owner
After living for many years in the UK, and tired of the rain and cold, husband and I decided to change our lifestyle and professions and move to a warmer and sunnier region. Our idea was to set up and manage a country style holiday accommodation - known as Alojamento Rural in Portugal (a similar concept to French gîtes). We now live here in the Algarve and have done so for over eight years with our young family.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
When we first saw the Quintassential in December 2002, the rain was pouring and we couldn't see the end of our noses, even then we knew this was the place for us. There was something magical about the Quintassenital. On returning to the Quintassential the following day, we were just amazed by the spectacular views and the peace and tranquility this area of the Algarve has to offer, yet we are so close to Loule and all the local amenities, but the tranquility is just heaven.
Unique benefits of the property
The Quintassential is located 2kms north of the market town of Loule that has everything one would need for a holiday, an abundance of excellent eateries, banks, cafes, supermarkets, it has the lot! Being only a 15 minute drive for Faro International airport & the beautiful blue flag beaches of Quarteira, Vale do Lobo & Vilamoura this is an excellent central location. The Quintassential offers spectacular panoramic sea views & peace & tranquility. It is a safe hilltop location where children are free to explore & we do everything to help families with little ones have a very stress free holiday -we know what it is like travelling with children. A large children's play area, heated pool, hot tub spa, breathtaking gardens, excellently equipped apartments we have it all & we live on site.
