Tavira Garden is a high quality complex, modern and spacious. The buildings are designed in Moorish style and set in extensive and mature gardens. The complex is situated in the Eastern Algarve near to Tavira town. Facilities available for guests staying at the complex include two large swimming pools, plus children's pool. There is a well equipped gym with tennis courts (there is additional charge for these), children's play area, BBQ area. There is a restaurant and bar, inside and outside dining, lounge area. There is ample parking space. Nearby supermarket 2 minutes walk from complex. There is a new shopping centre (2009) nearby, within walking distance or 5 minutes drive. In the summer months, most evenings, there is live entertainment in the town square. Tavira island beach has 18kilometers of golden sand, water sports are available, there are restaurants and bars on Tavira island.
Bikes can be hired from the town centre.

Coast/Beach
Tavira's long unspoilt beach (Ilha de Tavira) can be reached by a short 10 minute boat trip. The beach here is accessible all year round unlike those at nearby Cabanas and Santa Luzia. Ria Formosa Nature Reserve (8km) is abound with bird life and is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. There are lovely nature trails and walks.
Golf
There are four top quality golf courses within 8km of Tavira. The nearest, Benamore Golf (4km from Tavira) was designed by Sir Henry Cotton with 18 holes, par 71. Quinta de Cima and Quinta de Ria, two 18 hole golf courses, overlook the Algarve coastline and are adjacent to Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. Castro Marim par 72.
Travel
Faro aiport is approx. 30km/18miles away. Taxis are available at the airport or can be booked from the reception office at Tavira Garden. Car hire is available at the airport or can be booked in advance. There is a bus service into Faro with bus and train connections to Tavira. Trains from Tavira station (2 kilometers from Tavira Garden) will take you to other parts of Portugal, buses cover wide area including Spain.
Distances
Tavira town (2 kilometres) is only a short walk away from the complex, about 15 minutes. Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, popular with bird watcher, is approx 8km away. The Spanish border at Villa Real de Santo Antonio is 28km from Tavira.
Further details
Tavira is an elegant and beautiful town with narrow cobbled street, castle, churches and Roman bridge spanning River Gilao which runs through the town. Tavira has an abundance of pleasant cafes and restaurants, many of them located in the old town and along the harbour front and River Gilao. In summer months there is evening entertainment most evenings in the town square. There is a daily market in Tavira selling local produce and fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. New shopping centre within walking distance from Tavira Garden or less than 5 minutes drive. Large supermarket 2 minutes walk from Tavira Garden. Faro Jumbo shopping centre is 25 minutes drive from Tavira Garden. Cash points (multibanco) many available and situated in the town.
Booking notes
At the time of booking a 50% deposit will be required. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival date. If booking less than 8 weeks prior to arrival full payment is payable at the time of booking. Guests are advised to cover their own risk of cancellation in their holiday insurance cover. In case of cancellation 50% of the deposit is non-refundable. Welcome packs, cots, highchairs provided on request at an additional cost. A 200 euros security deposit is required, payable on arrival.
