Set behind electric gates in its own mature garden, with barbecue and seating area on both the pool terrace and the inner courtyard with sea views from the pool terrace and panoramic sea views from the roof terrace, electric awning from living room, large sun brolly, sunbeds and terrace furniture for outdoor living. Separate shower and toilet facilities on the pool terrace. Three golf courses within 10 min by car. There are several mini-markets in town, the Intermarche and Modelo supermarkets are 5 min and Carfors hypermarket 15 mins by car.

Bathrooms: High quality En-suite bathroom to Master bedroom with twin sinks, w/c, bidet and enclosed shower.

Kitchen: Electric cooker, gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, juicer, microwave etc. Loads potts and pans and stuff for eating and drinking. You can tell a man is writing this.
Utility Room: Separate utility area with washing machine, iron & ironing board etc. Best let the maid do it.
Living Rooms: Air conditioned lounge, wood burning stove, Bang & Olufsen satellite TV provides all BBC & ITV channel's + several others & video, separate CD music centre, 2 three seater settees, two separate armchairs. Circular dining room seats 6, inner courtyard BBQ
Other: All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have patio doors onto the pool terrace which faces south, master bedroom is on west side, beds 2&3 on east side giving a degree of privacy. Electric awning extends from living room onto pool terrace, terrace furniture.
Cleaning/towels/

Maid service twice a week. All bed linen and towels included including pool towels. Bed linen changed once a week, towels twice. Lots of storage space, hairdryers, loads of hangers etc

 

Notes on accommodation
Restrictions: NO SMOKING inside the villa, no pets.
Not recommended for children under the age of 12, unless they are good swimmers, because the shallow end of the pool is 4ft 6in, deep end 7ft 6in and all the bedrooms and living room open directly onto the pool terrace.
The air conditioning units can all be used for heating although its unlikely you will want it.

Accessibility
Not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Outside
The pool terrace, which is not overlooked by the neighbours, includes all that is required for outdoor living, patio furniture, sun loungers, BBQ area, electric blind, sun brollies, separate shower area & toilet. The private pool aprox 30ft x 15ft can be heated by arrangement. The gardens contain mature shrubs and trees, including a lemon tree ideal for the G&T drinkers who like to watch the sunset from the roof terrace. The villa also has an inner courtyard with a separate BBQ and seating area.

Coast/Beach
The area has beaches to suit all tastes, Carvoeiro beach is a good sandy beach set in a small bay, Algar Seco, & Citianes are small cove beaches in reasonable walking distance, aprox 15 min. However 15 min by car will include the miles of beaches of Benagil & Amacao de Pera.

Golf
Two excellent golf courses Gramacho and Vale de Pinta are only 15 min away. Sharpen your short game on the Dave Thomas designed par three Vale de Mihlo only 3 min away. Penina, Palmares, Vilamoura and the best course in Europe, San Lorenzo are all within easy reach.

Travel
Carvoeiro is about 40 min from Faro airport.
Car hire, although not essential if you just want to relax by the pool and walk into town, is recommended to take full advantage of all that the area has to offer.
Drive into Spain in two hours on the new motorway or Lisbon in two and a half hours.

Distances
Carvoeiro is 5 min from Lagoa, 15 min from Portimao. Approx 20 min to the west is the medieval town of Lagos, good for shopping, restaurants and the vast Mia Praia beach. Albufeira with its vibrant night life is approx 20 mins to the east. Retail therapy can be found at the Guia retail park and the newly opened Portimao centre, one toward Lagos and the other toward Albufeira on the N125.

Further details
There are several mini markets in Carvoeiro, very convenient for those who don't want to hire a car, you can walk into town and get a taxi back for just a couple of Euros. If the kids (or the adults) want to be energetic there are two water parks and the zoomarine park in close proximity. It is a great coastal walking area with spectacular cliff formations. Carvoeiro is noted for its restaurants, there are at least 30 of them covering all tastes, great sea food of course, Chinese, Indian and Italian if you must, but most are Portuguese owned serving good quality local produce and excellent (cheap) wines. There are some good sports bars showing all the important games but don't expect good service when the Portugal national team are playing. Portimao is big and busy, but do go to Alvor just the other side of Portimao for a seafood lunch, great atmosphere overlooking the sea. The tap water is OK but tastes a bit strange so we always recommend bottled water for drinking. There is a Barclays bank in both Carvoeiro and Alvor as well as several Portuguese banks. Tennis courts in town. 10 pin bowling and cinemas at the Guia shopping centre.

25% deposit required on confirmation of booking, balance 6 weeks before departure. £250 refundable breakage deposit required at the time of final payment. Pool heating extra £50 per week.

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed staying at your villa last week. We wished we had booked for 2 weeks as we enjoyed the area so much and hadn 't realised there was so much to see and do. (We have both been
there before many years ago). The villa is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool to such an extent that I am measuring up our garden for one especially if we continue to have such good summers!

The pool was great,but the weather was unusually hot in the Algarve this year over 32 deg, we turned off the pool heating after a couple of days, it was as hot as a bath which would have been great in the cooler months,
