Casa do Pes de Serra is situated in 50,000sqm of green valley known as Quinta Dos Cacadores where Pine, Carob, Madronha, figs, olive and cork trees grow. The cottage nestles beautifully in this area of the Asseca Valley which is renowned for its wildlife and bird watching. Although secluded, the beautiful, coastal town of Tavira is 5-10 mins drive. Faro airport just 30 mins and the Spanish border only 30 mins. Beaches and golf are within 10 minutes drive.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. An additional charge will be payable for a 3rd person. Discount for 3 weeks stay. Longer winter lets by negotiation. Prefer Saturday to Saturday, but would consider other days.
Changeover day
Please note that even though it is stated that Saturday is the changeover day, we are flexible and open to negotiations. Departure times are 10am and arrival from 2pm.

All linen and towels are provided, apart from beach and sun bed towels. Maid service available if required at additional cost. |
Notes on accommodation
Children and pets are not allowed. We also offer an alternative holiday retreat for 2, a penthouse apartment in the Tavira area near Tavira's 2 new Golf Courses. Please email for more information.
There is no special equipment for the elderly or infirm, but there is wheelchair access in the cottage, wide doorways, waist level power points and the cottage is all on one level. To use the Pool there is a slope which maybe would be difficult for wheelchair access.

Outside
In addition, you are only 50m away from the large tiled area containing additional sun loungers and the family sized pool, the roller operated thermal cover of which gives incredibly warm water temperatures from early until late in the summer season. The pool is floodlit for nightime swimming. There is also a full sized table tennis table, dining table and benches under a covered pergola.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are fabulous. Take a trip to the 'Isles of Tavira' a 20km long sandy beach which can be reached either by a short boat trip (200m dash!) or by train from Pedras Del Rei. Slightly further along is the beaches at Cabanas or further still, Praia Verde which has a fabulous beach restaurant! The beaches on the Eastern Algarve are long and sandy and safe. Golf can be enjoyed just outside Tavira on the 3 new courses, where you will need soft spikes to play.
Golf
A 10 min drive from the 18 hole Benamor Golf Course and 15 mins drive from the 2 back to back 18 hole courses at 'Quinta Da Ria' and 'Quinta De Cima' and 15 mins drive from the safe sandy lagoon beach.
Travel
30 mins from Faro airport. A car is essential.
Distances
Located just 10 mins drive from the historic Roman City of Tavira in the Eastern Algarve (20 mins drive from the Spanish border) and an easy 35 mins motorway drive from Faro International airport, in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as the Asseca Valley, situated in the 12 acre grounds of a modern villa, but one which has been thoughtfully built in the style of a traditional Algarve Hill Country House. Shown on the map ‘Casa do Pes de Serra’ house at the foot of the hill.

The nearest village from Casa do Pes de Serra is Santo Estevao which is typically unspoilt, with village stores, popular restaurant, lovely church, Post Office, cashpoint, telephones, and English speaking pharmacy.
