Situated in the rural countryside, Casa do Monte is a peaceful getaway 30 min from Faro Airport, 30 min to Spain and 30 min to many beaches makes it ideal for those with peace in mind or as a base of operations. There are two local bars within walking distance where you can also eat local food, send mail and get your tractor fixed! The owners live next door with four Welsh Springer Spaniels and a cat but your property is private. Car parking ample and shared. The house is no smoking.

Outside
There is a large brick bar-b-que and patio furniture. The front of the house is shaded. You have private use of the roof terrace. The plunge pool is solar heated. This is free of charge. Firewood can be arranged for winter lets at £20 per week unlimited use.
Coast/Beach
Fuzeta, Manta Rota and Tavira island have great beaches.
Golf
There are many courses in the Algarve all within easy reach of Tavira. Quinta de Cima 6256m 72 par. Quinta da Ria 6110m 72 par. Castro Marim 5466m 72 par and Benamor only 4 km from Tavira 5500m par 71.
Travel
Faro airport is 30 minutes away. Car hire is recommended although you can get a taxi to and from the airport and have a car free holiday with all your needs catered for in the valley. Spain is 30 min away as are the local beaches.
Distances
Santa Catarina is 10 minutes car drive away. Another 10 minutes takes you to Sao Bras do Alportel. There are many good local restaurants, banks, supermarkets etc.

We live next door but we respect your privacy however, any help we can give you, booking restaurants, language problems etc please ask.
We have four Welsh Springer Spaniels. They are not "barkers" and they sleep indoors. Dog lovers are very welcome. Access to the house is via a ford and well maintained track. A 4x4 is not necessary.
Booking notes
£100 at time of booking. Balance before two weeks prior to arrival. Last minute bookings are welcome with immediate payement.
